About this mod
An edited version of Children of Cyrodill by Emma, that makes the children playable. It also adds/changes some features to make the experience more immersive.

It makes all the child races playable, gives them many more available hairstyles, allows the playable children to be killed for gameplay purposes, and gives them a natural ability that fortifies their Acrobatics skill - I thought it was fitting for them, and it distinguishes them from the adult counterparts. Also, the playable children will have no voice sounds at all; no attack grunts, pain sounds, or even greetings if you end up cloning them somehow.
I also added every single outfit, and most of the toy items that the child NPCs use in the mod, and placed them in a respawnable generic barrel - such as the ones in the Imperial City Market District, near Divine Elegance. You might also come across these in other cities or locations. Hopefully this helps with immersion and role-playing, as the child outfits weren't available previously for the playable patch. I know finding them in a random barrel isn't really the best, but it's the most convenient solution I found so far.
Keep in mind that attacking child NPCs will still result in teleporting them away, and I'm pretty sure they're all still flagged as essential, so they will only be knocked out. The reason they are 'killable' now is simply so that the player can actually die. This mod wasn't created for gratuitous purposes. Be responsible, guys!
Also, don't worry about the super buggy eye options. Those are simply the vanilla/adult character eyes that don't work with the child race - just swap between eye options and the issue will be fixed. It won't affect any of the child NPCs, so don't worry about that either.
If you do become a vampire, their eyes will also be buggy. I'm not sure if fixing vampire eyes on custom races is a possibility, though.
One last heads-up is that this mod might not work with Open Cities Reborn. If anyone can help me patch my ESP, let me know and I'll upload a patch for it, just like Emma's original mod had one. I can also upload other patches if anyone makes them.
Requirements!
- Children of Cyrodill (You need the original mod's BSA archive file for this plugin to work - but ONLY the BSA file, you can ignore the mod's ESP plugin and replace it with mine for it to actually work...)
- Custom Race Fix OR Unofficial Oblivion Patch (Since custom races don't play nice with Oblivion's intro sequence, simply install only ONE of these two mods, and things should work for you with no problems...)
- See Emma's Children of Cyrodill mod page for the full mod credits; I simply tweaked the ESP a bit, nothing more.
- annomoose/starcade1000 - for the 'playable children' thumbnail!
