About this mod

Have you ever wondered why there are so few armor styles in Cyrodiil? (a continent-sized, multicultural country)

Have you ever been bothered by the fact that every poor bandit on the side of the road is wearing glass or daedric armor when you're level 25?

Do you think the guards are boring?

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Well if your answer to the previous questions was positive... don't worry I think I can fix these problems so you can better enjoy this wonderful game :)
what does this mod do?

Well, overall this mod does:

-- Reworks the leveled lists to ensure a more natural progression
(say goodbye to high-level armor appearing everywhere)

--
Adds over 40 pieces of armor that are lore friendly and have been integrated into the world of Oblivion and the leveled lists
(this gives much more life and visual variety, gameplay possibilities to the game)

--
Adds new weapon variants
(halberds, katanas, daikatanas, Glaives, wakisashi, tanto, ninjato, tow-handed maces, spears and staffs)

-- Adds orcish weapons

-- Adds more armor for guards

-- Increases the level of NPCs that were unreasonably too weak
(Palace guards, Guard Captains, Boethia Chosen, Master Trainers, marauder bosses etc...)

-- Adds unique armor to certain unique NPCs (to make them a little more special)

-- Makes it much more challenging to get the daedric armor

-- Replace some vanilla female armor models

-- vendor inventory redone

-- Separated Helmets: You may have noticed that some helmets in the game have two versions, one for men and one for women, this is honestly very strange and makes no sense. So, what I did was to make each version independent, that is, instead of having a version for men and another for women, there are now two versions of the helmet that can be used by both men and women.

Leveled Lists Rework
This is one of the main changes in this mod

This change mainly focuses on preventing certain equipment from simply stopping appearing in the world as the game progresses. In Oblivion, NPCs scale with your level, which means that their equipment also scales with your level. However, the problem with this is that Oblivion's level lists are not retroactive, so when you are level 30, you will find any and all NPCs wearing Daedric, Ebony, Glass or Elven armor, but you will never see anyone wearing Iron or Chainmail armor again.
This mod changes that, now the appearance of armor and weapons depends on a spawn chance divided among all armors in a given level list, in other words:

High-level equipment will only have a small chance of appearing on NPCs because they are SHARING the spawn chance with other armors that are weaker than them, and not replacing their chances of spawning.

and makes the following changes to provide more immersion to the player:
-- Low-ranking NPCs no longer use legendary gear, they are limited to using only gear of maximum Orcish/Elven level. Only bosses will use high-level gear (glass and ebony armor will only appear on bosses).
-- Daedric armor no longer appears on human enemies, only on Valkynaz Dremoras. And there is also only a 10% chance that a Valkynaz Dremora will drop any piece of Daedric armor when killed.
-- The new armor and weapons have been integrated into the leveled lists and the world of Oblivion (explore enough, and do the quests, you may find unique armor on some boss or quest line).

New armors and Weapons

I always thought the amount of armor and weapons in Oblivion was too small for the scale of the game, I mean... iron, steel and chainmail? Is that all we have as "basic" equipment in a game set in a magical medieval era? Where are the gambesons, reinforced armors, padded chainmail?
So I embarked on a journey through the Nexus looking for weapons and armor that were lore friendly and matched the atmosphere of the game, so I could ask their creators for permission to add them to my mod... well... it was a very long journey and I will give all due credit to the creators of the assets I used here in the CREDITS section

I honestly lost count of how many pieces of weapons and armor I added to the game, but there were more than 50 in total for sure

Here is a comparison between the list of armor you will have using the vanilla game and the list of armor you will have using this mod (the armors are classified by their status, that is, armors that are in the same line have similar statuses):

identification of codes:
({number}) --> indicates the number of variants the item has
({acronym}) --> indicates the type of item: (C) = only cuirass, (H) = only helmet, (Gr) = only greaves, (Ga) = only gauntlets, (FA) = Full armor --this means you equip the item and it takes up all inventory slots except the helmet slot, just like the dark brotherhood armor--
({number}, {acronym}) --> indicates the number of variants and the item type

Daedric Equipments

According to TES lore, Dremora armor is armor forged with Oblivion Creatia surrounding some base equipment. However, Daedric armor is made with Oblivion Creatia surrounding ebony equipment infused with the spiritual essence of a high-level Daedra. In other words, there is a lot of difference in the creation of these two pieces of equipment and it always seemed strange to me that Dremora and Daedric equipment had the same appearance. To change this, I slightly changed the textures of Daedric and Dremora equipment.
Now Daedric equipment is darker and its red is more vibrant, showing that there is ebony in its creation process and the essence of a Daedra is emanating from such vile equipment.

Dremora equipment uses the original Oblivion texture, as it perfectly fits the idea of showing that such equipment is made of Creatia combined with items that are not made of ebony.

Additionally, I've made it harder to obtain Daedric gear. In addition to completely removing the possibility of finding Daedric gear on non-Daedric enemies and in containers, I've also reduced the drop rate of Daedric armor pieces to 10%.
To summarize: Daedric armor now only appears on Valkynaz dremoras, and you have a 10% chance of the enemy dropping any piece of Daedric armor every time you kill them (except for the shield, where the chance is 25%). This does not apply to Daedric weapons, they will always be dropped by the enemy using them once you kill them.

I did this because it's really ridiculous how Bethesda treated this armor in Oblivion compared to Morrowind. While in Morrowin the Daedric armor is treated appropriately, as a type of extremely powerful legendary equipment, and rare to find, in Oblivion the armor is treated as just another type of equipment that can be used by any random wretch after you reach level 22. Besides, this system will encourage you more to explore the gates of Oblivion.

Others high level equipment

In addition to changing the way you get Daedric equipment, I also changed the way you get other high-level items (Ebony and Glass).

Ebony: can only be found on Marauder Bosses, any other bosses that use heavy armor, in boss chests, and from vendors (very rarely).

Glass: can only be found on Bandit Bosses, Vampire Patriarch/Matriarch, any other bosses that use light armor boss chests, and from vendors (very rarely).

This change follows a bit of the logic behind the change in Daedric armor. After a certain level, any corner of the world will have these armors that should be really rare and expensive, and I consider this a major break in immersion.

Vendor inventory

This is a very simple change, equipment vendors only sold equipment up to the maximum Orcish/Elven level, this didn't make much sense, sometimes expensive equipment should be in the hands of a vendor, after all where would ebony and glass equipment come from? Would they be growing on trees?
From now on vendors may rarely be selling ebony or glass items, in addition all new items will also appear in the vendors' inventory

compatibility

This mod will hardly give you any headaches, just make sure to follow these recommendations:

--Don't use other mods that do a total rework on the leveled lists like this mod does. If you are going to use a mod that changes SOME things in the leveled lists, then you can use it without any problems, just change the loading order so that the mod you want to prevail loads after the mod you don't want to prevail (note: make sure that the mod in question also has the Relev and Delev bash tags, so that its changes work normally)
--You can safely use mods that modify named NPCs, just make sure that this mod loads after my mod and has the appropriate bash tags: Actors.CombatStyle, Actors.Stats, Invent.Add, Invent.Remove. This will depend on what the mod changes in the NPCs

This mod uses the following bash tags:

Actors.CombatStyle
NPC.Class
Actors.Stats
Delev
Invent.Add
Invent.Remove
NoMerge
Relev
Stats

If you find any other kind of strange incompatibility that doesn't just involve load orders, let me know, I'll try to solve it

Installation
use a mod manager (seriously, it's much better)
install the mod through your mod manager, activate the plugin, update your Bashed Patch (this is very important) and update your load list with the loot, or manually if necessary. If you want the changes of this mod to prevail over all other mods that change the same thing, let it load after all others. Otherwise, let the mod you prefer load after this one.

to install manually (not recommended) just take all the items from the .zip and put them in the Data folder of the Oblivion directory

I will still be developing this mod for a while, my future plans are:

Add more armors.
So if you find any lore friendly armor out there that has free assets to be used and you want it to be integrated into the world of Oblivion, you can send me a suggestion and I will evaluate if it would be a good addition

Fix bugs. This is my first "big" mod so I may have missed some problems, comment in the comments if you find any strange bugs, please

Add enchanted variants of items. I added the items to the world and the leveled lists, but they still do not have enchanted variants, it is not something that will affect the
gameplay since most of the vanilla equipment also does not have enchanted variants, but I intend to add these variants over time

Add weapon variants. Not all weapon tiers have all the new variants, for example: There are still no silver halberds and spears or orcish katanas and daikatanas. I intend to add these variants, but this will require me to develop skills in NifSkope, if you can give me tips I appreciate it

Make patches for other mods. If you want a patch for this mod to work with another one, please let me know in the comments.
