About this mod
Replaces Oblivion's music MP3s with higher quality versions taken from the HD version of the soundtrack.

Take a look at the spectograms in this mod's screenshots to see the quality difference. Do note that a bitrate of 192Kbps for the MP3 format isn't horrible, but isn't great either. It's certainly not as bad as Morrowind or Skyrim's music compression, but it still does still discard a fair amount of data from the file.
All standard music is covered, including the elusive track "Peace of Akatosh." Launcher and the "special" tracks (death and level up music) are not covered, as no HD versions of them seem to exist anywhere, and the launcher music is already a lossless WAV file.
If installing with a mod manager that isn't MO2, please backup your original files first, and replace the vanilla ones as follows:
1. Make a backup of your original Oblivion music folder in "Oblivion/Data".
2. Place the files from this archive in your data folder and overwrite when prompted.
3. Enjoy HQ Oblivion music.
Also, please do not comment "i cant hear a difference on my 5 dollar earbud!!!!1!!1 this mod sux!". I will locate your place of residence and slap you very gently with a dirty gardening glove if you do.
Note: there are some volume differences with these files compared their vanilla counterparts. I really have no interest in volume matching them as then it would be modifying the HD soundtrack's audio, which seems to have been intentionally remastered. Still, it's something to consider.
Useless piece of trivia: in making this mod I have disproved a common myth that files in Oblivion's music folder must be 192Kbps MP3s. They can in fact be MP3s of any valid bitrate, but still must be in the MP3 container, properly encoded. (So no renaming your UHD 99999999 Bit 1 billion hertz 4 dimensional omni-stereo FLACs of the Oblivion soundtrack to .mp3. Sorry, audiophiles.)
