OVERVIEW
---------------

No Quest Markers allows you to suppress quest markers on the compass and map. It differs from other similar programs in being small, reliable, and allowing your to easily turn the markers on and off without exiting Oblivion.

INSTALLING NO QUEST MARKERS
----------------------------------------------

1) As always, it's a good idea to make a save of your game before installing any mod.

2) Double-click on the file NoQuestMarkersR12.zip and extract all into your \Oblivion\Data subdirectory. This will place NoQuestMarkers.esp and its Readme file in your \Data subdirectory and the file NQM_Icon.dds in your \Data\Textures\Menus\Icons subdirectory, creating this directory structure if it didn't already exist.

3) When you start Oblivion, click on "Data Files". One of the files listed should be "NoQuestMarkers.esp (Player File)." Click on the square to the left so that an "X" shows in it. Then Click 'OK'.

4) Now click on "Play" and load a saved game. A few seconds after the game loads you will see a message "Quest added No Quest MarkersContinue". You may see an additional choice "Make this my active quest". For now choose "Continue" and follow the directions in USING NO QUEST MARKERS below.

USING NO QUEST MARKERS
--------------------------------------

If you look at your Oblivion "Current Quests" menu, you will see a new entry: "No Quest Markers". Simply click on the name to make it your active quest and the markers will be gone. Other that the absence of markers, there will be no effect on the execution of any of your current quests. You will continue to see notification of quest progress and new "hints" as appropriate. If you decide you want to see the markers for a current quest, just make that quest your active one. That's all there is to it!

REVISION 1.2
----------------

Revision 1.2 updates the icon to one that plays well with others. By lightening the blue slightly and using a transparent background, the new icon works with most user interface (UI) mods, including Dark UI with BTmod.

----------------
REVISION 1.1
----------------

Revision 1.1 adds a quest icon, giving a somewhat more professional appearance. The priority has also been lowered slightly. Neither of these changes affect the fundamental operation of No Quest Markers. If you already have Rev. 1.0, unless you like the idea of an icon, there is really no need to update.
