Nice! I've watched a few videos and I'm sure I'll be delving into it in a week or two. The last time I was playing the delux edition at about 72 hours in my save got corrupted. I'll be doing more than one or two this time.

I'm guessing that's not going to happen with this remastered version. I'm pretty impressed with how smooth it runs. I have not run into any trouble or strange bugs yet. I can definitely recommend it up until now

I'm definately enjoying it. My last playthroughs for Oblivion all went wrong , because I put to much on top of it ( simply being greedy    )
I'm now playing a completely vanilla run with a basic reshade and a photomode mod.

Erwin, what photomode are you using?
The only photomode mod I see for Oblivion Remastered i Simple Photomode and users are reporting bugs using it.

That's the one I'm using. I personally only use the fly-cam option and the option to get rid of the UI.
That works perfectly for me, encountered no problems. I have not used the other options, so the bugs would probably with those options ??
I also have a separate screen capturing tool, so I'm also not using that option also...

Oh wow Erwin.

I ran across a chicken in Lleyawin,  so there must be some, but it's definately not overly crowded with them. Goats I haven't seen either.
Have been playing quite a bit indeed

These graphics are very beautifully made, Erwin, and the outdoor scenery appears even to outstrip Skyrim. The interiors are very moody, although I suppose you can thank the reshade for that, but they look marvellous just the same.

I never played this game, although my youngest daughter did and I remember the faces of the characters looked to me like they were made from putty. I'd be interested to see how they look in close-up with this new issue.

    All the best

I've been playing it for the past few day and I must say that the game looks pretty good. The way it plays is a lot better then the original.
It's also a bit strange to play a game that you've played extensively and know how it ends, but feels and plays like new
Character creation has improved in comparison with the original but it's nowhere near the way you can do it in Skyrim ( with mods).

It's been a long time since I played. I always thought it was a great game and played through several times. It set the standard for many games that followed. Your pictures are good, but it's hard for me to tell what they updated. The last time I played I added a number of texture mods.

That music sets the tone for the escape from the dungeon, I'd say.

The game has changed in many ways, it plays smoother, horse riding is improved , archery is way better , better UI, better textures bet overall pretty much everything.
It does, however , managed to keep that Oblivion mood I so enjoyed years back. It's a win/win for me.
It's music Peter Gabriel made for a movie ( Birdy) . I think it's great music.

I'm impressed also, not necessarily by my images , but how good the game looks and still has that old Oblivion mood to it

Looks great! I think my favorite image is the Oblivion Gate itself, that looks incredible to me! And I was in my old Oblivion game in the last few days, so I know how much better that looks than my game and/or vanilla, at least.

My youngest "kid" downloaded it yesterday, but since he has his own place now I won't see it for a while. But he remembered me playing Oblivion in the past, and he was quite excited to try it for himself. From the looks of things in your images, he will be very pleased by the graphics at least! Have fun!!

I've got the same story for oldest " Kid" . He lives by himself also . Actively remembered Skyrim , but was also there when I still played Oblivion.
Those gates do look great indeed. Fire in general looks very nice in the game.
      Thanks for  stopping by

Thanks , I'm doing a mostly vanilla  run ,with a very basic reshade installed,  first  to get a feel  for the game mechanics.
There is a mod available called " Simple Photo Mode"  .
That mod has an option to hide your UI by pressing ctrl-F2 ( among other functions).
      Works fine for me.
