About this mod

Overhauls vampirism and gives incentive to feed often. Stage 1 vampirism is unchanged. Stage 2 and 3 vampirism are similar to vanilla stage 4, with a few added greater powers. At stage 4 you are now starving and severely weakened with some new ghostly powers, and must feed to regain your strength.

Description
===========
I love playing as a vampire in oblivion, and really enjoy the concept and simplicity of the vanilla system, however I had several gripes and found the other vampirism overhauls change the system too drastically.

Only stage 4 and stage 1 vampirism were really useful, leading to me waiting 3 days every time I wished to use my vampire powers in a dungeon. Also, there was no incentive to feed other than to interact with vendors which seemed unrealistic.

This mod changes things, such that stage 2 and stage 3 vampirism are essentially the same as the vanilla stage stage 4, while the new stage 4 is a malnourished ghostly state where you are severely weakened and have incentive to feed.
Some additional lesser and greater powers have been added to stages 2,3 and 4 of vampirism, mainly for roleplaying purposes. They are not overpowered, and spells you can make your self will generally be stronger.

I have also included a slightly modified version of hunters sight toggle by kynetarse (thank you for the original script) as I felt this was more realistic.
I have tried to add the ghost effect for stage 4 vampirism, however it is extremely buggy and wont remove itself after feeding. If anyone knows a good workaround, please tell me. For now, I have settled with a chamelion effect.
The stage 4 vampirism debuffs are applied through a slotless equippable item you cannot see or remove. I tried using an ability like with the buffs, but this decreases the base attribute/skill value to 0, making leveling the skill easier which was not intended.

Lesser Powers:
Hunter's Sight (Toggle)

Greater powers:
Deaths Touch-Greater Power-Absorb Health/Magicka/Fatigue 50pts each
Wolf's Swiftness-Greater power-Fortify speed/athletics 50pts for 60 seconds
Vampire's Seduction-increased to charm 100 points, as 50 was absolutely useless when trying to get most NPCs to actually talk to you.
Reign of Terror-unchanged from vanilla but accessible at stage 2 and 3
Embrace of Shadows-night eye effect removed, now accessible at stage 2,3 and 4

Install
=======
1. Extract the .esp to Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data and activate in your preferred mod manager. To activate manually, copy and paste Arfien's Simple Vampires Revamped.esp Arfien's Simple Vampires Revamped.esp into Plugins.txt found in the above directory.

1a. If not a vampire: activate esp.

1b. If already a vampire
I. Ensure you are at vampirism stage 1 at install as this is unaltered except for hunters sight.
II. Feed on someone to gain the new hunters sight
III. If your hunters sight is still vanilla for some reason or you dont wish to feed, type the vollowing into the console
    player.removespell VampireHuntersSight
    player.addspell vvvVampireHuntersSight

For those using primary needs:
If for whatever reason your character suddenly dies when changing between vampiric states or from hunger etc, change the follwing in the basic primary needs ini.
set BPN.ini_hunger_endurance to 0
set BPN.ini_thirst_endurance to 0
set BPN.ini_sleep_endurance to 0

Also load the .esp before basic primary needs.


Uninstall
=========
If you are no longer a vampire
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s) (or equivalent in Wrye Bash).
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

If you are a vamprie
1. Feed and reset vampirism to lvl 1
2. Type the following into the console to revert hunters sight to vanilla    
    player.addspell VampireHuntersSight
    player.removespell vvvVampireHuntersSight
3. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s) (or equivalent in Wrye Bash).
4. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.


Incompatibility
=========
Any other vampire mods that alter the vampire or cure for vampirism scripts, or those that edit the base abilities or spells will be overridden by my mod.
The unofficial patch changes to the scripts have been incorporated so load my mod after.
