A simple system for necromancy. Collect body parts, gain power!

Permissions and credits
In the vanilla game, necromancy is just summoning a ghost or a zombie. But any old mage can do that. Only a necromancer can use the power of the dead to get around the rules of magic itself...


WHAT THIS MOD DOES -

Simply, this mod gives you a small boost to your conjuration skill or magicka when carrying around bones or other necromancerish items. It works the exact same way as the skeleton key does, so if you pick up a skull it will give you a spell effect that adds to your skill level rather than just buffing the skill.
Some of these items have debuffs attached as well. You cant carry around a bag of bones and a rotting corpse without grossing people out after all.


WHAT THIS MOD ALLOWS YOU TO DO -

This mod allows you to use conjuration spells that are above your skill level!

Lets say you have a conjuration skill of 25, so you are limited to only summon apprentice level spells. If you grab enough DIFFERENT bones, your skill will now be at 50, thus allowing you to summon a higher level ally! Simple fortify skill effects do not get around this limit.

This isnt actually limited to necromancy spells, you can use it to summon daedra too.

When you drop the bones, your skill will return to its normal value. It is encouraged not to carry these items 100% of the time, as it will mess with your ability to actually level up your conjuration skill to 100. Therefore, this mod is more useful to a beginner mage than a master wizard, but it does also have some unique item powers that any and all mage characters would like to have

*SPOILERS*
ITEMS AND THEIR EFFECTS -
-Side note: having multiple of the same item does nothing for you. Diversify you collection!
-Another note: I removed the quest item tag from anything that had it, so that you can get rid of the item if you want. DONT DROP ANYTHING YOU STILL NEED FOR A QUEST UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU WONT LOSE IT. You've been warned.

BONES - Skull, ribcage, pelvis, clavicle, big bone, and thin bone (all of these except skull are just called "bone" or "bones" in game) - +5 conjuration, -5 to one of personality, sneak, athletics, weakness to magic, weakness to normal weapons

SHOVEL - +5 conjuration. Every necromancer needs a trusty shovel



UNIQUE ITEMS

SVENJA'S CORPSE - For those not aware, the horror of dive rock ate svenja whole and for whatever reason the game lets you take her body parts out of its stomach and carry all the pieces around with you. These items are heavy to lug around, but offer higher stats than bones do as its a complete dead body - +10/15 conjuration, -10/15 personality (its a rotting corpse, it fuckin stinks, people dont wanna talk to you)


RUFIO'S SKULL - There's an unused item in game called rufio's skull. Now you can take it from his corpse (or from vincente valtieri's chest if you missed it), and remember your first brotherhood contract fondly forever! - +10 sneak, +5 conjuration, -5 personality
 
VARULAE'S CRYSTAL BALL - You can help varulae get her crystal ball back in anvil, and then murder her and have it for yourself maybe? - +50 magicka, -5 weakness to normal weapons (its fragile!)

BLOOD POTION - In a random oblivion gate, next to a random rock, someone dropped a unique blood potion. In vanilla this item is useless but looks cool. Now its powerful. - +5 constant health regen, +50 Magicka, -20 weakness to normal weapons (its fragile!)

TOME OF UNLIFE - In a necromancer's lair in a haunted house, this spooky evil tome has no purpose in vanilla. Now its a conjuration skill book! - +5 constant magicka regen, +50 magicka, 25% weakness to fire

FINGER OF ADAMUS PHILLIDA - He's a good man, an honest man. He disgusts me. Keep his finger for yourself! (you can retrieve it from the desk after finishing the quest, it never goes away) - +5 constant fatigue regen, +25 magicka, -5 luck

MOTHER'S HEAD - Maybe it's not your mother, but you can finally feel the warmth of a mother's love. - Resist frost 30%, +50 Magicka, -10 mercantile

FILLED COLOSSAL SOUL GEM - This item has always annoyed me in vanilla. Its a quest item and you have to carry it around forever, it contains the soul of the archmage, and it supposedly protects you from mannimarco's magic. Now it actually will. YOU CAN NOT DROP THIS ITEM CAUSE ITS NEEDED FOR THE MAGES GUILD, AND IT'S THE SAME ITEM AFTER THE GUILD IS OVER SO I CANT MAKE IT NOT A QUEST ITEM. Think of it as your reward for beating the mages guild. - +50 magicka, +25% resist magic


IF AN ITEM IS ALREADY IN YOUR INVENTORY WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE MOD, DROP IT AND PICK IT BACK UP AGAIN

Minor Bug - Going to jail (and presumably losing all your items in other similar ways like during sanguine's quest or Through a Nightmare, Darkly) with some of these items in your inventory can break the negative effects, making them permanent. It happened to me once but I cant reproduce it, and I wouldnt know where to begin to fix it. Save before going to jail I guess

INSTALL 

Just unzip the archive and drop the esp into the data folder

"Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data"

After that add "aTrueNecromancy.esp" to your Plugins.txt document

Use https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/473 to get rid of the NL tag that appears on all ported oblivion mods.
