About this mod
A small patch for Basic Portable Tent by JasmineMcCoy to balance the tent against player homes.

Player homes are valued between 2000 and 25000 gold with various upgrades for thousands more. None of the homes have as much utility as the tent (other than Frostcrag Spire) and none of them are mobile. So having the tent and its upgrade valued at only 174 gold each I thought was a bit cheesy and makes other homes useless.
Versions:
The Main File brings the base value of the tent to 1500 and the upgrade to 15000. The value will depend on your vendor disposition and skills, just like any other bartered item. This means at the beginning of your playthrough it is too expensive to get immediately, more expensive than the waterfront Shack home, and equal in price (roughly) to the most expensive home in the game to upgrade.
The Optional File is a version with lowered value (500 and 1000 to upgrade) but with higher weight (40, original tent weight is 5) so that it is more accessible but more punishing. Weight is in line with Dremora weapons so I feel that is fair.
There is also a Hardcore Version with both value and weight increases for maximum deterrent (1500 tent value, 15000 upgrade value, 40 weight).
All versions rename the items to "Basic Tent and Bedroll" and "Expedition Tent Upgrade" to reflect the difference in price better and more accurately portray the significance of the upgrade, and edits the description of the upgrade book.
Installation:
You only need one version of the mod.
Requires the original tent mod (version 0.2). Please endorse their work, because I love tent homes and you should too.
Install with mod manager or extract the archive into your install directory (common\Oblivion Remaster\OblivionRemaster\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data)
And be sure to update your Plugins.txt with the appropriate ESP name (with its extension).
Q: I dont find a tent being as expensive as a home to be immersive.
A: What is nicer: a few logs arranged as a box on a muddy, noisey waterfront? Or a cushy enclosed tent with a nice quilted bed and crafting stations? Its meant for explorers, travelling merchants and royalty. The furniture is imported from Skyrim. The sheets are made of Dreugh silk. Just go with it.
Q: Do you seriously expect me to carry around 40 units of weight or pay tens of thousands of septims?
A: Yes. The point of this mod is trade-offs: pay the price or carry the cost to offset the power of a mobile home.
