I have the x 3.0 for master difficulty. and its perfect for damage, but damage received is to low. if you could make alternativ version with higher damage received. that would be perfect.
Same here. And something definitely happened with this mod being reset in difficult. It's somehow back to vanilla difficulty. Trying to troubleshoot what went wrong. I am playing from Echoes Collection so an update must have messed something up. It's truly unplayable as vanilla. Expert I cannot kill anything....adept I am playing in God mode lol.

Is it possible to increase the amount of damage received from monsters while not effecting the player's damage? I'd be interested in a "hardcore" game mode that didn't make the enemies so damage spongy
Unfortunately I too have to report that this mod stopped working all of a sudden. The first hours (days?)? after installing it worked fine. Then I noticed that the enemies reverted back to being damage sponges, without changing anything at all. I have only (ever had) two mods: this mod (3x) and "more damage". Running this through Vortex, if it matters.
Adept works fine now. But if I go back to Expert, which is what I intended to play with, I notice some discrepancy these days. For example: I am now fighting the High Elf mage in the Arena. If I switch to Expert and start the battle, I can tank her sword hits in melee fairly easy. No souls-like vibe at all. If she casts a spell, that really hits hard.
It wasn't like this in the beginning. Then hitting and getting hit in close combat was quick work for me and the enemy.
Also noticed this today, luckily I had a save where I first tested it so I just went back to that and can confirm the mod has just stopped working completely and randomly, around 30 hours of gameplay later.
I'm also experiencing the same issue. Where all of a sudden, the mod stops working and the diffculty cranks right back up to vanilla expert where i feel like im hitting enemies with a toothpick while they are curbstomping me. Problem is it's about 8 hours since i started this file so I can't easily go back without it installed. I'll have to put my diffuculty back to adept for now.
I have the game on Game Pass, so Idk if this will happen on the Steam version. But the Plugins file keeps getting reset, which removes all the mods .ESP files. Very annoying but not the modders fault I don't think.
Same here, the difficulty got back to vanilla somewhere around level 7 of my character, with the gap between Adept and Expert being ridiculously huge. Was using x 2.5 version
UPD: Guys, I think I found the reason for this in my case: my Plugins.txt currently contains only vanilla .esp files, so all of my mods somehow got erased from there. From the date modified I can assume this happened the day I created a new separate character. I don't know if it's the same for you, but check your Plugins.txt too
I have the Steam version so my Plugins.txt is not getting reset, but I have a couple suggestions you could try.
Set Plugins.txt as Read-only. Right Click->Properties->Tick Read-only->Hit Apply. This should prevent the game from editing the file.
If that doesn't work, you can make a copy of your Plugins.txt file with all your mods added and put it in a separate location. Then, if it gets reset, replace it with your copy.
I was having the same problem, but I figured out the solution to my particular issue.
In Plugins.txt make sure that "Difficulty Slider Fixed.esp" is between "AltarDeluxe.esp" and "AltarESPLocal.esp" or it won't work. Since I didn't read carefully, I just stuck it at the end instead of following the instructions to put it directly after "AlterDeluxe.esp"
what do you mean by reset? Also do you think it matters if there are spaces in the line? For example: DifficultySliderFixed.esp or use Difficulty Slider Fixed.esp?
That's an issue with the games balance and is completely out of the scope of what this mod does. It's something I may look into for another mod though.
Could you possibly add a version that increases the damage enemies do while NOT decreasing your own damage? I don't want it to take longer to kill enemies, I just want them to be able to hurt me more.

mainly the Cats and Timberwolves they have an absurd amount of health and basically one shot you on expert at 2.5
Is this intended because those don't feel very balanced outside of everything else I have encountered.
It's something I may look into for another mod though.
Would be very appreciated. Hate it when I have to use exploits to make fights bearable. Breaks the whole rp wibe.
