Being a mage sucks on controller in this game. You either have to stand still and taking a beating while you go through the radial menu, or have to open up the menu, scroll to magic, select a spell, then resume combat.
It's also immersion breaking starting a fight with a bow, opening the menu, switching to a melee weapon, etc.
This "mod" allows the following:
- Assign spells to the Dpad. Simply highlight a spell, press the dpad button, and the spell will be assigned to that dpad button. Press the dpad button while playing and you will equip that spell.
- Assign Equipment to the Dpad. Same as above. Pressing the dpad button while a weapon is already equipped will unequip it.
- Assign consumables to the Dpad. Just press the button to use the potion/drink/food.
- Hold LB and press a Dpad button to use the Dpad as normal (so hold LB and press down on the Dpad to bring up the map).
All of this is done with just a Steam Layout, so you either need the Steam version of the game, or to add any other versions to your Steam Library to use Steam Layouts.
To use, just copy and paste the following link into your browser and let it open in Steam.
