I felt that the icon they picked was a bit bland compared to the original game, especially considering they had the perfect one right under their nose so I went and did it myself. I've also provided the necessary file and instructions to have this custom icon appear in your Steam library.
Instructions
For game exe/shortcut: Copy "Icon.ico" to your Oblivion Remastered install directory, then right-click your game exe/shortcut and select "properties", then "Change Icon", then navigate to where you put the "Icon.ico" file and select it.
To have the same icon appear in your Steam library: Copy "bad7d3e3c722ffc68af54cbe545dcc5978d87638.jpg" and navigate to your Steam install folder (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam). From here, to go "appcache", then "librarycache", then "2623190". Paste the JPG you copied into that folder, replacing the existing JPG. You will need to close and relaunch Steam for this change to take effect in your library. I can't say for certain whether or not a game/Steam update might reset the library icon to the default one, so it might be worth setting the JPG to "read-only" as a precaution.
