About this mod
Boosts the armor rating and enchantment of the Shrouded Armor (while making the Shrouded Hood optional). Multiple versions included!
- Permissions and credits
The armor rating and enchantments from the armor and hood have been combined, so that only the main armor piece has the stats. This means that the hood is now optional.
(The hood does still have an armor rating of 1 due to it being counted as armor by the game, so if you decide to use it, you'll be a little above the usual armor rating)
Just keep in mind that if you decide to attack anyone else wearing this armor, they'll also have its boosted stats.
The original plan was to add a unique set of Ancient Shrouded Armor with the stats of the Glass version to a couple of locations near the end of the questline like in my Classic Oblivion version of the mod, though it seems at the moment that we're unable to add items with new IDs to the game (doing so just causes the new armor to be invisible). Once this has been figured out, I'll try to make it as planned.
Stats for each version (note that the armor rating shown is for when your Light Armor skill is at 100)
- Mithril: +24 Armor. +11 Enchantments.
- Elven: +28 Armor. +13 Enchantments.
- Glass: +35 Armor. +15 Enchantments.
- Place the .esp file of your choice into
Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data
- Open the "Plugins.txt" file found in the folder above.
- Add the name of the mod (with the .esp file extension included) to the end of the text file. For example, for the Glass version, you'd add
BoostedShroudedArmor-Glass.esp
- Start the game.
NOTE: If you were already wearing the Shrouded Armor and/or the Shrouded Hood when you install the mod, unequip and re-equip them for the new effects to kick in.
