About this mod
A simple mod to help bring more clarity to many of the item and skill descriptions in the game.

The purpose of this mod is to list more detail descriptions in-game about exactly what each item and skill does, hopefully saving players some time from having to do research on things like damage formulas and mechanics while they are in the middle of playing. The vast majority of the info used in this mod was data mined or researched/tested by others in the Octopath Modding community and discord channel, all credit for this info goes to them, all I did was simply hex edit that info into the files used for this mod.
Note: A handful of items, skills, and support skills have estimated values or formulas based on lots of testing, like Nightmare Chimera, Resist Ailments, and everything related to encounter rates. Any info on exact values or formulas for these would be greatly appreciated! If any in-game descriptions are incorrect or if any bugs are found with this mod, please let me know!
Install:
Download the "BetterDescriptions_p.pak" file and place it into your "[steam install folder]\steamapps\common\OCTOPATH TRAVELER\Octopath_Traveler\Content\Paks\" folder. If you have no other mods installed, you should only see a "Octopath_Traveler-WindowsNoEditor.pak" file in this folder.
Uninstall:
Delete the ""BetterDescriptions_p.pak" file from the same folder listed above.
Important: This mod uses the GameTextEN.uexp and GameTextEN.uasset files, so it will be incompatible with other mods that use these files.
