I finally picked up Mount and Blade (all 3 versions) last month (June) and I have to say, it is a really fun game. I have not really played the 1st 2 games since I started out with guns and didn't look back. Well, at least not until I started messing around with a few mods.

I started playing Star Wars Conquest for the 1st game and wow...just wow. I cannot believe how immense this total conversion is...a horse and sword game turned into a Sci-Fi shooter. I can safely say that I have spent more time in SWC than I have in Fire and Sword. I have a couple of Lord of the Rings mods awaiting the moment I get board of SWC and another mod based on A Game of Thrones.

I didn't believe it when M&B was recommended to me before but now I'm a believer. And mighty convenient now that there is a Nexus site to host the mods.

Wow, that's like selling the Eiffel Tower for $15,000. This game is without a doubt one of the most underrated games out there. This game along with certain mods is light years ahead of Skyrim in terms of gameplay.

I've been living under a rock and only heard of this game recently. I missed the sale by just one day. Unlucky me. I'll get Warband as it is what most people are recommending.

I played the original one just an hour ago. Yes, not really the greatest graphics, but the system, game play and party system trumps that of Skyrim. Sorry to say. I wish I had this kind of control and immersion in a TES game.

You guys owe it to yourselves to check out the M&B series; Warband especially. By the time you're in your several-hundredth hour of military campaigning and riding through fields filled with hordes of rivals, you'll forget the mildly weak graphics and question how a few dollars could possibly have given you so much gameplay.

All three for less than 8 bucks; can't beat that. I bought them, but I'm saving 'em for when the new starts to wear off Skyrim for me.

HAH! Seven minutes left. I go for the net and I score...twice!
Bought a second copy in case a friend wants to join in too.

Thanks for this post, Dark0ne. I would've missed out without it.

Mount and Blade: Warband is the best.

The third one was actually created BEFORE Warband, and personally I hate it. Warband is, by far, one of the best games ive ever come across. Got 300 hours into and you can still keep going.
