NEW, UNIQUE PALS
"But Prima they're just Lunaris variants" shush
Lunaris Noct, the Dark Mutant you didn't expect nor ask for!

"Some say Lunaris Noct with a perfected technique can send the minds of those who stare into its eyes to different dimensions. It's even believed that those who meet this fate are mutated into bizarre species of Pal."

Tends towards high HP and Attack, less Defense
Gains Medicine Lv.3 on top of Lunaris stats
Moves slightly faster than Lunaris
Lunaris + Nitemary = Lunaris Noct
Lunaris Lux, the Celestial Shocker!

"It can control those who carelessly enter its electromagnetic fields. Those seen with a Lunaris Lux are in its mind, simply iron filings to a magnet."

Tends towards High HP and Defense, weaker attack, slightly higher work speed
Gains Electricity Generation Lv.3 on top of Lunaris Stats
Moves slightly faster than Lunaris
Lunaris + Orserk = Lunaris Lux
Lunaris Lux learns the same move pool as Lunaris, but with Star Mine added in, and all non-Neutral skills replaced with Electric skills
Lunaris Noct learns the same move pool as Lunaris, but with Star Mine added in, and all non-Neutral skills replaced with dark skills
Lunaris Lux and Lunaris Noct share Lunaris's Partner Skill effects, just with a different name and flavor text.
Lunaris Lux and Lunaris Noct share Lunaris's Skeleton/Animation data, but have their own mesh. Mods that alter the skeleton of Lunaris will break this mod visually.
Extensive testing has concluded that this mod will not brick saves or crash multiplayer clients, but the Elemental Lunarises will be effectively unusable without the mod installed and working (You can probably sell/butcher them if you choose to remove the mod or if it ceases working permanently for some reason; you can keep them in your palbox if you are playing with the mod temporarily. This will KO them, but when the mod is reinstalled they will be as normal.)
Stats for Lunaris Lux and Lunaris Noct can be edited in the corresponding JSON (DarkStorm.json) and their flavor text can be edited using DarkStormTranslations.JSON, and their breeding Combos using DarkStormBreeding.json; be warned that this comes at your own risk. They will not spawn naturally, but you can spawn them as wild pals using Creative Menu.
Textures and icons created by yours truly.
INSTALLATION
This is a PalSchema-Pak combo mod, and contains 2 distinct part, a PalSchema mod and a Pak asset pack. You can install each of these parts independently, but I packaged it in a zip so you can simply paste it into .../Palworld/ and go.
First, you need to install PalSchema and UE4SS, using instructions here.
Once you do that, simply download the zip for your game version and extract to Game/Install/Location/Palworld/. For steam, this will be something to the effect of C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Palworld, for MS Store/Gamepass, it may be different. Pal Schema's instructions show you how to reach these locations.
Paste the "Pal" folder from the LunarisVariants zip into the Palworld folder, and double-check that the following 2 directories exist:
.../Palworld/Pal/Binaries/[Win64 or WinGDK, depending on version]/ue4ss/Mods/PalSchema/Mods/LunarisSubspecs
.../Palworld/Pal/Content/Paks/~mods/ (Check that this contains LunarisVariantsXX.pak; there will also be a utoc and ucas with the same name if you are using Gamepass/MS Store)
If that checks out, you should be good to go.
Known Issues:
Palpedia Entries for Lunaris Lux/Noct will not unlock, and they render so large they cannot be seen in the Party/Palpedia pages. This does mean less opportunity to read the Palpedia entries, which will otherwise only show on capture/hatching, but does not appear to affect gameplay
Possibly there are issues with the "ragdoll" effect when picking up and throwing the pals on base, but this could be unrelated.
maybe i'm crazy, but i swear Lunaris Noct's eyes are yellow instead of red, and I can't figure out why.
