Kirkland is no ordinary coal mine, as it will regularly see sixty to eighty cars a day on Tier 1. Best estimates of car counts at Tier 5 are in the hundreds. That being said, your fleet will certainly have its work cut out for it. Additionally, this mine is a manually loaded industry, meaning you will need to actually "flood load" your trains. Simply spot your hoppers on one of the loading tracks under a tipple and the cars will load…provided you have enough coal. Kirkland not only needs the hard work of your engineers to keep things running, but plenty of supplies, too! No self-respecting coal mine can operate without the essentials, like mining equipment, timbers, and certain “rock-clearing substances.” The fine folks at Kirkland will also ensure that your locomotives are in the best shape possible. A water spout is located by the shed next to the tipple. Kirkland Services has crew standing by to maintain and repair your fleet.
Kirkland is the ultimate tonnage challenge. You may end up stretching your fleet to its limits if not careful. However, the rewards are plentiful if you can properly manage the tipples. So what are you waiting for? Get hauling!
