Changelogs
This is a work-in-progress livery pack for Canadian National Railway equipment, focused on historically informed repaints spanning early to mid-20th century practice. Liveries are developed incrementally using a mix of photographic references, CN paint diagrams, and logical inference when documentation is limited.
📦 Included Liveries
  • 98t A26 Atlantic (Engine + Tender)
CN steam locomotive and tender in a transitional scheme from the pre-noodle era, featuring the red-and-gold "tilted wafer" logo, minimal striping, and serif number plates. Reflects CN's practical steam-era presentation during the 1930s–40s.
  • 29t 1900 Open Platform Coach
A classic coach in a deep green and black paint scheme with gold striping and serif “CANADIAN NATIONAL” lettering. Based on heritage excursion stylings, but plausible for early passenger service.→ All future coaches will use this same scheme for visual continuity.
  • 15t Early Wooden Caboose
Styled after early CN cabooses before standardization and safety paint mandates. Features understated lettering and a conservative color palette, suitable for local freight and mixed trains.
IMPORTANT COLOURS
  • In order for some of these liveries to look right, you must also apply the appropriate base colours: (equipment->customize->basecolor)
  • Coaches & Some Trains use this Heritage Green Base Colour: #3E4821
🔍 Approach
  • Not locked to a single era — this pack samples liveries from across CN’s historical timeline, prioritizing authenticity where references exist.
  • Visual continuity is maintained within consists (e.g. matching logos, striping, fonts).
  • Where documentation is lacking, liveries are based on known CN standards and regional patterns.
💬 FeedbackSuggestions, corrections, or historical references are always welcome. This is an evolving mod, and your input helps shape it.
