you have to extract the rar file to a normal folder, then you'll find a pak file inside that folder.

I literally pressed unsubscribe and the mods persist to stay in game, and i literally cant even start the game because when i delete the things in the folder i cant start the game anymore, everytime my friend joins it kicks him saying he doesnt have the same mods.. Im literally so confused and now i guess im validating the files to see if that will remove them. The in game menu doesnt even pick up on the mods im using so im extremely befuddled how there is still mods.

thats an easy fix, theres a setting in the game that you have to check to allow any one who doesnt have the same mods as you to play aswell.
Server Side Checksum - turn this setting on in the game settings or off, not sure which one

This is outdated information now, with the mod.io integration (assuming things have changed) the mod paks don't seem to be named. My friend's game was not able to even start due to mod conflictions and we decided to delete everything in the Paks folder. The entirety of the Paks folder is about 55 Gigs and that's like the whole entire game!!! This is insane lmao

EDIT: It only applies to manual mod installations I'm crying ?
