Servare Vitas

Hostage Rescue Team (HRT)

Created in 1983 and based at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, the HRT is the U.S. government’s non-Department of Defense full-time counterterrorist tactical team. HRT, whose motto is servare vitas (“to save lives”), provides enhanced manpower, training, and resources to confront the most complex threats. The team deploys operationally under the authority of the FBI Director and in support of FBI field offices and legal attachés and performs a number of national security and law enforcement tactical functions in almost any environment or conditions.

Since its inception, the team has deployed to more than 850 incidents involving terrorism, violent crimes, foreign counter-intelligence, and other investigations. HRT has performed missions involving hostage rescue, barricaded subjects, undercover operations, high-risk arrests, and surveillance operations. It has undertaken traditional law enforcement roles in response to large natural disasters and dignitary protection missions, and has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries to protect FBI personnel and to conduct sensitive site exploitations and intelligence gathering activities.

In collaboration with the Bureau’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS), HRT developed the Quick Capture Platform (QCP), a backpack-portable tool that has made an impact on global counterterrorism operations. The QCP enables investigators to collect and store fingerprint data during investigations overseas and provides instant access to federal fingerprint databases—both the FBI’s Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) and the Department of Defense Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). This enables our operators to determine whether a subject in custody has possible terrorist links in the U.S. or abroad or is likely to pose a threat to U.S. forces.

HRT Selection

Members of HRT are special agents who must pass a challenging two-week selection process and arduous six-month training course. The team is supported by intelligence, logistics, and technical operations squads that are also staffed by special agents and professional and support personnel. Assignment to HRT requires a significant personal commitment. The daily training tempo is rigorous, and there is frequent travel for training and operations.

In 2007, the Bureau initiated its Tactical Recruiting Program to identify and increase the potential number of candidates for the team. About 80 percent of HRT candidates already have tactical proficiencies from police work or military training. Once identified, candidates enter the Bureau as field agents and serve two to three years before trying out for the team. The recruiting program has brought in 150 tactically experienced agents to the Bureau, and approximately 10 percent of them are currently HRT members. Not all agents brought into the program serve on the team—many instead serve on the SWAT team. In all, there are currently more than 1,200 SWAT and HRT personnel in the FBI.

Hey everyone, Lime here with possibly my best creation yet: my take on creating a highly-accurate and detailed FBI HRT SWAT uniform replacer.

This mod will give the SWAT Team into highly-realistic and detailed FBI HRT operator uniforms. These uniforms were made with a great deal of research, some creative freedom, and referencing from other existing U.S SOF units. The FBI HRT is a very closed knit group, and properly live up to the "Quiet Professionals" ideal of many SOF members. Therefore, their media presence and real operating images are hard to find, making direct referencing a little challenging. However, speaking to various subject-matter-experts, listening to Podcasts featuring real ex-HRT members, and researching very carefully, I have come up with something I believe is very appropriate.

[ **New Information for post-Adam update uniforms // December 23rd, 2022** ]

I have moderately reworked the uniforms for the Adam update with newer textures, better patches, and some personal changes. The following 4 versions are as follow:

- Limes New FBI HRT SWAT - MultiCam and Black Uniform: LSPD Black uniforms become full MultiCam with MultiCam Gear. LSPD OD uniforms become MultiCam lowers and gear with Black tops. Updated FP models. Repositioned and upscaled patches. Mixed HRT logos. Updated Rugby shirt textures to look less shiny.

- Limes New FBI HRT SWAT - MultiCam and Full Black Uniform: LSPD Black uniforms become full MultiCam with MultiCam Gear. LSPD OD uniforms become Full Black with MultiCam gear. Updated FP models. Repositioned and upscaled patches. Mixed HRT logos. Updated Rugby shirt textures to look less shiny.

- Limes FBI HRT SWAT - Legacy MultiCam and Ranger Green: This uniform set is the same "Ranger Green and MultiCam Mix Uniform Replacer" described below in the Pre-Adam Update section. Only the FP models and Rugby shirts were updated. The patches and all other details remain the same as the Pre-Adam textures for those who prefer it.

- Limes FBI HRT SWAT - Legacy Full Black with MultiCam Gear: This uniform is a one-off meant for personal usage. It is a Full Black uniform for both LSPD Black and LSPD OD uniforms with MultiCam gear. No HRT patches, just FBI markings. Updated FP models, patches, and new patch positions.

** Please refer to images for additional visual aids on what has been changed and/or modified per variant. Pay close attention to the image descriptions. Otherwise, just download variants and figure out which one you like **

The following information is Pre-Adam Update for Ready or Not. The following details only applies to the "Legacy" MC variant and the old version.

MultiCam Uniform Replacer:

- Faux IR flags on the primary upper combat shirt and on the Rugby combat shirts
- Faux IR "X10" callsign patch on the primary combat shirt
- Faux IR square on the secondary combat shirt and on the Rugby combat shirts
- Faux IR "X11" callsign patch on the secondary combat shirt
- HRT round eagle variation patches on all 3 combat shirts
- Faux IR "X13" callsign patch on the Rugby combat shirt
- "Crye" branding ribbon the primary combat shirt and all G3 combat pants
- 2 styles of white "FBI" lettering on the front and rear of the plate carrier, and front of the Heavy Armor vest
- Hi-Vis faux IR colored US flag on all plate carrier shoulder straps
- Custom HRT eagle round logos on Heavy Armor shoulder pieces (without lettering so it reflects correctly on the Heavy armor)
- Custom "O+ POS" marking on corresponding plate carriers
- MultiCam pattern OpsCore helmet shell with Tan accessories
- Branded OpsCore AMP communications ear protection and AMP Arms.
- MultiCam OpsCore AMP vinyl skin for the ear protection and AMP Arms.
- Functioning "FBI" IR patch on all OpsCore helmets.
- Branded "Contour" 4K action camera on all helmets
- Branded Mechanix "0.5mm Dexterity" inspired glove markings
- Branded Mechanix "M-Pact 3 Covert" inspired glove markings
- Full FP hands support (you can see the correct things on your hands/arms when in first person)

Ranger Green and MultiCam Mix Uniform Replacer:

The exact same thing as everything above, with various exceptions:

- Uniforms are a mix of Black tops and Ranger Green G3 combat pants (instead of full MultiCam) but still retaining the MultiCam plate carrier.
- The US IR Flags and the same "X10" and "X11" patches actually work on it! (Thanks Void, love the details)
- The helmet shell is Ranger Green with Tan OpsCore Fast SF velcro pieces while the comms stay in Tan/MultiCam
- The FBI patch text is Black and White instead of Tan and IR Black, and the Contour camera is unpainted vs. the rattlecan texture on the MC variant

[ Note: this RG uniform variant can be used by selecting the uniform on the character selection screen and equipping the alternate variants (named "LSPD SWAT OD". AI teammates cannot do this though. Can only be used in full-team formation with friends or online ]

>> It should be no surprise to any uniform mod users, but the "Vest Retexture Fix" mod is required for this to work <<

Thanks for checking out the uniform mod. This uniform has realistically been through months of development time, as I have gatekept this MultiCam sample and textures for quite a while. This poor old uniform has gone through approximately 24 variations, until this public variant was created with the full intention of going public. This is arguably the best work I've ever made and I hope that translates through to everyone who uses it.

If you enjoy my work, please don't be afraid to leave some comments or thoughts, and please Endorse and Share. It helps me immensely.

Enjoy!
