LORE:

Life in Los Suenos isn't easy; with poverty on the rise, the people of Los Suenos are unable to pay rent or afford necessities and the city is seeing more and more people living out on the streets. Corruption with local government officials and other private investors doing illegal backroom deals with crime syndicates for illegal human trafficking, drug trafficking, and arms deals in the city results in violent gang wars, drug wars, kidnapping, and terrorists looking for opportunities to strike against the city to make its citizens suffer or to use them as leverage for negotiations.

Crime rates are getting higher and the streets are getting dangerous for police officers to go out on patrols. A bill was passed to increase the local police budget to get special weapons and equipment for the Los Suenos Police Department along with special training for SWAT teams to help stop criminals, gang violence, and terrorists to preserve lives. Los Suenos SWAT teams respond to different crises almost regularly and conduct raids day and night often since no-knock warrants are often permitted due to police crackdowns and crime suppression happening all over the city.

LSPD SWAT is a part of the county's TCAT team (Terrorism Counter Assault Team) and is capable of responding to, and operating in, a weapon of mass destruction environment as an immediate intervention team until federal resources can respond.

*Author notes: The background lore is based on the lore from Ready or Not. The idea was to make a background story as to why my version of LSPD SWAT is supposed to represent an advanced local SWAT team that can handle whatever Los Suenos can throw at them without the need of sending in the National Guard to restore order.
