About this mod
Slightly reduced values in the AI config file for a bit less godlike behavior.
A few values have increased (morale boost in certain situations to counter the reduced values)
- Permissions and credits
No crack for AI - Just say NO
New Version 1.0.1 - Slightly increased the overall Moral of Suspects from 0.2 to 0.35 to slightly increase the stoicism.
(I kept the old version with 0.2 up, so you have a choice)
Installation:
Extract to (Steamapps Folder) /steamapps/common/Ready Or Not/ReadyOrNot/Content/Paks
Explanation:
Reduces value for visibility (spotting ability) (1.0 > 0.7). They should not be able to see a single finger of you through a crack in the wall across half the map. They will still have a good eye.
This does not fix broken materials like milky glass, closed shades etc.
Increased reaction time values from originally 200ms to 800ms when not alerted, from 100ms to 400ms when alerted, from 140ms to 560ms when suspicious. Still quick, but not godlike reaction times anymore.
It sounds like a lot. But its not really. It's still challenging. But fair.
Reduced accuracy a bit. Maybe (average of +0.5 I would say...so ranging from around 1.2 to 1.7 / possible values 0.0 to 5+, whereas 0.0 is aim-bot and 5+ won't hit a barn even within 10m distance), depending on level. So they're still relatively accurate, especially close distance. But less brutally accurate overall and it of course drops even more over large distance.
Still hard in certain situations I would say, but not as hard as before.
With that I added some slight penalties, that makes it more realistic (when they're under fire/shaken up, they get a greater penalty for accuracy, which is more realistic)
Reduced Minimum Morale across the board in all missions to 0.35 - gives every Suspect the ability to surrender, when enough pressurized.
Does not mean they will, but increases the chance dramatically when you destroy their morale.
They will still shoot you like crazy and often will get shot by you and your team before they surrender. But on standard values they sometimes (lots of missions) cannot even surrender because of values like 0.8 to 1.0 in some levels.
Increased morale boost when they see other suspect AI - which seems realistic and is fair. You see your buddy fighting alongside you, you feel stronger.
Increased slightly morale penalty when they get pinned down by your team and in certain other situations. If 5 officers pin you down and shoot at you, you're more likely to give up. Standard value was way too low.
Removed morale boost of Suspect AI, when they you use C2, Grenades, Pepper-balls etc. - that was an error by the Devs, so I hope. I corrected it.
Increased ability of Suspect AI to find cover. At least in theory, by the raw numbers. Not sure if it works. Not sure how much the AI is bugged or incapable of doing so due to the AI engine.
