About this mod

Adds a working magnifier to the game. Also a resource for mod makers to make their own fully functional magnifier!

Graphics bug with the reticle can be fixed with the Scope Fix mod link here
Even after this, you may need to play with graphics settings. This is just an issue with UE5 unfortunately. 

######################Update 9/9/24#########################
Added a pak that replaces the in game SDR scope with the Magnifier attachment.
This file is standalone, does not require any other downloads from this mod or others to function 100% correctly
Have set the camera alignment data in the attachment tailored to each weapon that uses the SDR scope.
With the FAL, you may see the scope move backwards in the loadout menu, this is to get it closer to the eye.
You wont see it happen in game, it will just be in the correct spot I set.

NOTE: I can't guarantee it will be accurately aligned with vanilla replacement weapons. This is just due to the nature of the attachment and its reliance on the player character camera position. If a replacer weapon changes the SDR socket position too much, the optic may not be zeroed.

Hope you enjoy! It was cool to see it on all the vanilla weapons.

In the Future, more of my custom weapon attachments will also be in here. Currently only have one. At the time of writing this, there is only one Weapon that utilizes this attachment

It is currently set up to toggle the magnifier on the Toggle secondary sight key. Default is P, if you remapped it it is whatever yours is set to. 

Hopefully more weapons will utilize this attachment in the future! Weapon mod makers, feel free to reference this attachment for use on your own guns.



For mod makers, I have also included all the files you need to make your own, plus a link to a 29 page google doc guide on the process.

For referencing this attachment on your weapon;

Note, this will probably only work on custom weapons loaded with the item asset loader mod. This attachment is highly reliant on having a very tuned in camera position and loading scopemod data with the item asset loader mod will not set the values on vanilla (replacer) weapons. you would need to make your own attachment and set the scope mod data in the attachment BP itself.
