BTW, Void has done a great job in overlay, auto-gating SFX and camera offset details. It's impressive.
But there are something else.
Mods aside, in the vanilla game, especially on the exclusive Tan GPNVG from Supporter DLC, we can choose to use the Tarsier Eclipse produced by MATBOCK. It is a focus cap IRL, and in the minimum aperture state it can be used as a Day light cap, which can prevent our NODs from being burned under top light, and with the help of auto-gating it can even be used in daylight conditions.
Of course, the best way is still to avoid facing the sun directly, but anyway our tubes won't get burned in the game lol.
Currently(IRL) newer tubes have Auto-Gating and Auto Brightness Control capabilities. Their action time is very short, even in milliseconds, so even Gen3 tubes that are not top quality can respond extremely quickly and have good image effects.
Here are some references from the internet
Therefore, I made improvements in the mod based on these features and previous use experience.
1. Provide faster Automatic Brightness Control/better Auto- Gating Capability;
2. Simulate operating with focus/daylight cap, normal imaging can be achieved under bright environments;
3. Better Bloom Suppression Capability;
4. More close up blur;
5. No overlay replacements will be added like the previous version, because the vanilla overlays are already good enough;
And of course, an equally important part of this mod is the white phosphorus tube P45 color alternatives.
As I said before:
This does not mean which color is more correct.
Due to various reasons such as different manufacturers, different production batches, and different environments, the color of P45 white phosphor screen will be slightly different, and the difference will be more obvious on different cameras. (For example, some screens may even appear green in the camera)
I provide an alternative version that you can choose according to your preference.
