Version 1.0
Release. Compatible and up-to-date with public branch of the game as of 12/22/2024.
A lightweight mod to delay or completely prevent active shooter suspects (such as the suspects in the "Elephant" aka. school shooting map) from shooting civilians. I found it incredibly frustrating how quickly active shooters seemed to kill civilians, and so this mod was born.
Comes with four options: Light - Increases all time parameters involving active shooters killing or choosing targets by 25% Medium - Increases all time parameters involving active shooters killing or choosing targets by 50% Heavy - Increases all time parameters involving active shooters killing or choosing targets by 100% Extreme (Save"d") - Active shooters no longer kill civilians on purpose.
For reference, in the base game, it takes 120s from the start of the game for an active shooter to "target" their first civilian. Then, a random time delay between 10-20s is chosen before the active shooter kills the target. The time to target other civilians after the first civilian is killed is around 10s, with variability between every map. The values bolded are the values that will be increased by this mod.
Installation: Use Vortex. It's easier. Manual install: Paste the .pak files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks"
If you downloaded Steam in a different directory and don't know how to find "\steamapps\common\":
Go to Ready or Not in your Steam library
Click the gear icon near the right of your "Play Time" statistics
Hover over "Manage" and click on "Browse Local Files"
This should bring you to "...Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not"
Then just go to, "\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks" and drop the .pak there
Compatible and up-to-date with public branch of the game as of 12/22/2024
