Installation
  • Place the "hardcoreMode" folder inside your "/Red Dead Redemption 2/lml/"
 
Notes
  • Not compatible with other modifications that replace catalog_sp.ymt unless compatibility file is included. If there's a compatibility file you'd like, let me know.
  • Recommend using Josefig's great script that also reduces mission payouts!
 
Features
Attempt at recreating the "Hardcore Difficulty" from Red Dead Redemption - GOTY Edition
  • Maximum health is reduced by half, taking in consideration health levels
  • Health regenerates more slowly, and after a longer delay
  • All purchasables cost more, and all items sell for less
  • Reward/drops/looting amounts are lowered/more rare
  • Starting a new game is recommended. Otherwise, what's the point?
I have only done minimal testing with the mod so far. Any issues please let me know and I will look into them.

Optionals
No Blips
  • Based on Red Dead Online's Hardcore Series missions. Enemy blips are removed from the radar without affecting any other radar markers.

Reduced Ammo Purchase Quantity
  • Reduces the amount of ammo in ammo boxes purchased from shops to match the amount inside "unopened ammo boxes" found in the world.
