Is there a way to replace the Perlino Turkoman with a Story mode Turkoman? When I change the file to something like a_c_turkoman_silver it would be a weird coat instead of the one in the mod images, I don't know if it's something to do with the mp texture files, but if it is, is there a way to change it?
changing the name of the file shouldn't affect the coat at all. are you making sure you're just changing the name of the .ymt to something like a_c_horse_turkoman_gold.ymt? make sure you're not touching the .ytd file names at all
I tried using some of your files, love them by the way, but after a day and a half the bay roan appy stopped working and was stuck somewhere inbetween the original game coat and the modded coat :( is there any way to fix this? i deleted all the other modded files, downloaded the coat again, added it to the game again after restarting and removing it multiple times but its still stuck in this inbetween coat which isnt the bay roan appy at all. Im not sure if this has happened to anyone else & if so how to fix it?
sorry for the late reply. this sounds like a weird mix up of files, but it is odd that it's still happening after a clean install. i would assume there is another mod overriding it, especially if it worked at first
i've just tested both and they are working fine for me. i would recommend a clean install of mods to test them and ensure you're using version.dll and not dinput8.dll
Hi sorry might be a dumb question, I'm new to modding and newer to the game. If the bay roan appy replaces the leopard blanket appy, but the leopard blanket is only in the wild and with NPCs, do I search for it like I would in the wild?
not mod author but the answer should be yes, technically the game still recognizes it as the leopard blanket appaloosa so it still spawns it the default way as the only thing replaced is the coat via LML stream folder (every leopard blanket appaloosa is now bay roan appaloosa coat wise, name will still be the same).. should apply with every other horse that is replaced, whatever default way they can be acquired as these are just texture replacers..
so another example: if it's the mahogany bay twalker & black raven shire that you decided to replace via LML then there's only 1 of them in the game and if you already lost them then they're gone forever unless you spawn them via trainer etc..
All of the files say it, e.g if you're downloading a coat and the file says 'a_c_horse_americanpaint_greyovero.ymt' -- and American Paint with the grey overo coat! Basically think of it as 'a_c_horse_(breed)_(coat).ymt', if that's what you mean ^_^
is there a chance i can change Rain horse to a story mode horse? it's somehow working but when i spawn it, it only has the hair feature and the coat is mostly the close look one of the american paint
ohh possibly! i would love to do some of the heavier breeds! will keep them in mind <3 if there are any of my current coats you'd like on the ardennes let me know and i can do that <3
