Using a different method, John Marston will not immediately deplete his stamina and drown when entering or exiting the water under any circumstances.
In the original settings, if John could swim, he would be able to stay in the water without moving or swimming slowly for a longer time than Arthur. However, when sprint swimming, his stamina would deplete faster than Arthur's. This mod keeps the original settings.
I know there are other mods with similar functionality, but those mods still instantly drain John's stamina when he enters or exits the water from horseback. This one does not. It fundamentally solves such issues. So, no matter how you enter or exit the water, John's stamina will not be instantly depleted.
Installation:Place the "John Marston Can Swim Fix" folder into the LML directory.
