About this mod

Introduces a balanced and immersive overhaul of health and stamina mechanics.

Changelogs
NPCs now have health values adjusted for realism, while player and horse stamina deplete naturally when jogging/trotting, enhancing the challenge of the game.

Vanilla stamina mechanics are forgiving and lack the tension of managing your character's and horse's physical limits. The mechanics encourage strategic movement and resource management, emphasizing realism without disrupting the flow of gameplay.

NPC Health
  • All NPCs, including animals, now have adjusted health values that align with their size, toughness, and role in the game.
  • Human enemies have health values between 70 and 100, depending on their level.
  • Animal health is slightly reduced.
  • Legendary animal health is greatly reduced; no more bullet sponges.
  • The Injured and Critically Injured threshold values have been fine-tuned to create smoother and more linear transitions between the different states.
  • Removes armor from Duelists

Player & Horse Health
  • Health and stamina recharge rates have been decreased.
  • Player is now fully vulnerable to fire (same as NPCs).
  • Running gradually reduces stamina (at a lower rate than sprinting).
  • Once stamina is fully depleted, the player can no longer sprint until some core stamina is recovered.
  • Horse’s stamina also depletes naturally while trotting.

Swimming Mechanics
  • Arthur and horses can now swim for significantly longer distances, making water traversal less punishing.
  • John, who originally couldn’t swim, now has limited swimming ability. He tires quickly and can only stay in the water for a short time, reflecting his lack of experience.
