Better body for Arthur

(I AM NEW TO THIS)

This ymt file edits Arthur's body to make him look better than his original body. It doesn't make him look super buff, he's still roughly the same size but his shoulders and arms have been changed to give a leaner look. I take requests on how you'd want Arthur or John to look so you don't have to do the work but I will give a tutorial on how to use expression editor to make your player look the way you want.

You need lennys mod loader to put the "player_zero.ymt" file into the stream folder. If you do not have a stream folder, make one.

The first 3 photos i am using the daddy morgan mod. The other 3 are vanilla.

HOW TO USE EXPRESSION EDITOR:

You need expression editor and ymt unhasher.
  • Put expression editor in game directory. Use open iv to search for "player_zero.ymt" or "player_three.ymt" depending if you are doing it for arthur or john (click search in all archives). There may be multiple, use the most recent, it will be an updated one. Right click and export to xml. Use ymt unhasher from nexus or rdr2 mods. Export the unhasher anywhere on your pc, drag and drop the exported xml into the same folder as the unhasher, then drag the xml onto the program. It will automatically unhash it and create a new xml. Drag and drop the unhashed xml into lml/stream and launch the game.
  • When in the game, press F7 to edit yourself, use the arrow keys to edit whatever you would like and press F8 to export to xml. The xml will be in your game directory under "ExpressionEditor_PLAYER_ZERO" or "ExpressionEditor_PLAYER_THREE". Open the edited xml, and select all and copy. Open the player_zero.ymt or player_three.ymt in the stream folder with notepad, notepad+ or notepad++ (whichever you use, does not matter) and use the search bar to find the line "<expressions>" or "</expressions>" the first line is the top of the expressions block you will replace, the second is the bottom. I searched for the first one, but it does not matter. There will be many of these expressions blocks, you need to replace all of them with your edited one. Highlight the expressions block from the ymt file in stream folder, and paste your edited one over it. Do this for every expressions block in the file until they are all replaced with your edited one (it may take a while lol).
  • When you have replaced all the expressions blocks with your edited one, click "save as" and save it as "player_zero.ymt" or "player_three.ymt". (THE .YMT AT THE END IS VERY IMPORTANT). Keep the now edited file in your stream folder and remove any old ones from your game directory, as well as expression editor as you no longer need it. I recommend not deleting any files yet just in case it has not worked, once you have tested it and made sure its working then you can delete all the old files.

i found a way to replace all expressions blocks so much faster. You need notepad++.

    download npp toolbucket https://phdesign.com.au/npptoolbucket/

go to notepad++ file location, open the plugins folder and drag and drop npp toolbucket dll into it. Open notepad++ and click the plugins section, click "plugins admin" and click the "avaliable" tab. Scroll until you see "ToolBucket" and install it. Once installed, click the plugins tab again, click toolbucket and click "multiline find and replace". Copy the entire expressions block from the original ymt and paste it into the find section. Then copy your edited expressions into the replace section and click replace all. All default expressions blocks are the same so it will literally replace them all in a second. Then just save and quit and you're done. As always, make sure its saved as a .ymt file

(this was copy and pasted from a reddit reply I made for someone, I didn't feel like typing it all out again lol)
