This mod gives you the opportunity to pilot a 1909 aircraft by Louis Bleriot, a French aviator and engineer.

The Blériot IX was built on the foundations of Louis Blériot's previous aircraft, the Blériot VIII, built in 1908. This successful aircraft enabled him to achieve the first round-trip city-to-city flight in the history of aviation:

It therefore adopted the principles of the Blériot VIII: a mid-wing monoplane configuration, a quadrangular streamlined body, a Pénaud-type tailplane, and a four-bladed aluminum propeller.
[The fuselage was lengthened (the Blériot VIII was 7.5 m long, while the Blériot IX was 12 m long), and above all, this new model benefited from a significant increase in power thanks to the use of a 50 hp 16-cylinder Antoinette engine.
This engine had an impressive cooling system consisting of four tubular radiators.
Two were mounted horizontally at the rear and two vertically within the front landing gear frame, making them highly visible and giving the aircraft a massive appearance. This gain in size and power also resulted in a significant increase in weight

Louis Blériot presented his three prototypes, the two monoplanes Blériot IX and XI and the biplane Blériot X, at the Paris Air Show in December 1908 without selling a single aircraft.
He finally conducted the first tests of the aircraft on January 26, 1909, at the Issy-les-Moulineaux airfield, but radiator leaks prevented it from taking off, earning it the nickname "The Municipal Waterer" (the "Arroseuse Municipale") from spectators.
He conducted another equally unsuccessful test on February 10 before abandoning it to focus on subsequent models.
