DX12 Compatible Mod, I think it's the first of its kind with many features. The mod covers almost everything visible in the game. A lot of hard work and effort has been put into it—hope you like it!!!

Permissions and credits
RDR2 DX12 Enhanced Weather & Texture OverhaulFirst of all, apologies for the limited number of images. I'm experiencing issues with my capture setup and had to rely on some older screenshots. I also want to mention in advance that I have a flight in just a few hours and will be unavailable until September – I won’t be able to respond to comments or questions during this period often.

To make sure the mod works properly and all necessary caches regenerate correctly, I recommend deleting the following folders and files:
Delete the DirectX shader cache located at:
AppData\Local\D3DSCache
Optionally, delete anything you can from here 
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\NVIDIA
Delete all files in this folder, except the settings file:
C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings --(except settings):
(Keep settings.xml if you want to preserve your personal game settings.)
If it exists, delete this file to allow LML to regenerate it:
Red Dead Redemption 2\lml\patterns.dat .Works best with skripthookv2 and latest asi loader from here https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases
Put in your root folder where is exe


This will allow the game and mod to fully regenerate fresh data, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.

☁️ Advanced Weather SimulationThe weather system was developed in collaboration with a professional meteorologist. Real-world climate data was gathered from regions similar to Red Dead Redemption 2’s biomes, then translated into numerical simulations.300 pages of region-specific climate models were converted into parameters like:TemperatureTarget, TemperatureFlatten, TemperatureOffsetClimateWaitMultiplier, WeatherGraph, WeatherRemapTableEach region (and subregion) now has a unique, year-round weather cycle influenced by elevation and climate.Unlike vanilla, which uses predefined weather cycles, my version removes those entirely and instead drives weather through dynamic numeric systems and new interpolation methods.All interpolation data for each weather state and each hour of the day has been handwritten and tuned – the vanilla documents were mostly empty. The default engine uses EASE_LINEAR_IN and only for a subset of weather types. I implemented more natural and realistic easing curves like:EASE_LINEAR_INOUTEASE_QUADRATIC_INEASE_QUADRATIC_OUTThis ensures smooth transitions like darker nights with realistic light intensity, and removes that infamous sudden brightness at 4AM that feels like someone turned on a light switch (though some rare flickering may still occur briefly at extreme distances between 5:00 and 5:11AM – depends on angle, conditions, etc.)
🖼️ Texture Overhaul (Over 280,000 Files)The process was as follows:Initial upscale to 8K using high-end filtering and scripting, to give the AI more pixel information to work with.Important note: simple upscaling does not restore detail – but it helps prep the data.AI-driven detail reconstruction using a custom 150GB non-commercial VFX plugin developed specifically for high-fidelity asset restoration.This plugin "guesses" the lost physical details and reconstructs believable surface detail.Some textures were temporarily scaled up to 128K during this process, then "baked" back down to 2× vanilla resolution or vanilla native.Albedo and normals: Albedo maps received full enhancement, while normals were generally preserved at original resolution for performance and stability.NPCs, main characters, animals, foliage – all reworked individually. Minor assets only received light AI enhancement without full pipeline processing.
⚙️ Config File OverhaulThe game's main configuration file was fully rebuilt, cleaned of unnecessary sections.I've adjusted critical pools for rendering and buffering – the ones no one touches, but they matter the most!Do not increase dictionary-type pools unless you feed them data – they consume memory with no benefit and Rockstar tuned them very precisely.I focused on pools that actually impact throughput and render speed.This includes render target buffering, memory flow, and asset streaming pools.Despite the scale of this overhaul, the mod is surprisingly lightweight thanks to the fully rebuilt configuration files.As one of the early beta testers put it:“The config in this mod performs better than the vanilla config... for vanilla itself.”This means that even with high-quality assets and enhanced systems, performance remains smooth and stable, especially under DX12, where the engine takes full advantage of the optimized buffers, rendering pools, and memory allocation strategies I've tuned.
🌠 Visual System EnhancementsStandard lighting, color correction and FX tweaks are present, but the core improvements come from the rebuilt weather and timecycle system.VRS (Variable Rate Shading) has been completely disabled via vrs.maxsr = 0.This ensures that every pixel on the screen is rendered at full quality – no more low-res shading in the corners or periphery.
🚀 Final NotesThere are far more features than I could list here — this project took over 2 years of continuous development, research, scripting, and refinement.

🔧 If you're using your own physics setup, you can simply delete the existing physics files in the folder and merge your custom ones into this mod without any conflict.There are also 4–5 small, standalone files used strictly for immersion purposes — these files are not made by me, but are included out of respect and appreciation for their quality. Out of over 8000 files in this mod, those few are the only third-party additions.I’m not claiming ownership of their work — I included them solely to improve the mod’s atmosphere.So when you download this mod, you’re also benefiting from the amazing efforts of other passionate creators, whose work deserves recognition too.
Just to clarify for everyone — the mod was developed entirely on my personal computer and  VFX server.
I didn’t use any existing mods — everything was built from the ground up. I have all the raw textures, meta data, and script files right here on my machine.
Anyone who takes a closer look at the mod will see that there are no reused or stolen assets — everything has been carefully developed and refined over the course of two years.
So there’s really no reason to accuse me of theft when this has been a long-term passion project, built with care, detail, and full transparency.
And one more important thing:
There’s no way I could have taken anything from other mods — because those mods aren’t even DX12-compatible.
DX12 compatibility starts right from the very first step of texture preparation and pipeline setup. Without that, integration is impossible.
So with all due respect, your claim is entirely unfounded.. The archive contains only texture files. It was assembled manually, up to the very last minute before release.There are no .dll . asi ,exe, and scanned for viruses, there are no viruses..

Before uploading, the entire package was scanned with antivirus software — everything is clean. Every part of the mod was created by me, manually.Another modder also uses AI for texture upscaling, but their solution is local and relatively limited.
My AI processing was done using high-performance machines and advanced VFX plugins, which allow for deeper reconstruction and high-fidelity results.And just for the record — I don’t speak English fluently. Everything you’re reading here was written by me in my native language and then translated with the help of AI.There are no random or out-of-place assets — everything has been carefully structured and organized to deliver a cohesive, high-quality experience.
Even other modders who use AI for upscaling haven’t managed to make their mods fully DX12 compatible.
This mod was built from the ground up with DX12 rendering in mind, and everything — from configuration to visual assets — was tuned specifically for that.The mod is split into two parts simply because the project became so large in scope and size.
It’s still one complete mod, just divided for easier distribution and management.
