About this mod

An adjustment mod for Remnant that pushes you harder, but doesn't drastically change the balance of the game! Meant to increase the challenge while keeping a very similar playstyle to the base game.

Ever felt it gets a little lonely exploring the wastes? Fond of all your guns, adept at using your iframes, but feel like Remnant could do more to test your mettle -- but don't want to have to play the game completely differently? Then this is the mod for you.

  • Manually increased all handgun and long gun ammo reserves by 50% (magazine size unchanged). No more having to mainline ammo boxes after every encounter. (Prior, ammo max was not being affected the way I had intended e.g., most guns still only had base ammo capacity).
  • Increased Liz’s HP yet again (if only I could get her to not face-tank Root Spores)
  • Reduced spawns in literally every boss fight manually (by about 25% overall, some outliers as much as 50%)
  • Removed enemy and player movement speed buff (it was being applied in an unequal way, and some enemies were much faster than normal. Decided to revert to base game speed balance).
  • Slightly reduced SpawnQuantity and SpawnRate for Nightmare and Apocalypse. Given the Effective HP of the monsters, it just forced players to rely on a CC build too much (which is not what I had wanted).


Changes included:
- Increased SpawnQuantity and SpawnWeight across all difficulties.
This is the only drastic change in the mod, it means that no matter what difficulty you play, you will get bigger hordes more frequently. I've just completed an Apocalypse playthrough with this mod and feel it strikes a nice balance from the base game with more to kill.

- Reduced additional mob spawns in specific boss fights. This will continue to be tuned as I test every fight, but in addition with the mod the spawns should be very slightly more than normal -- if just equivalent -- rather than very significantly more, if left unadjusted.

- Increased Player-Influenced Enemy Quantity by ~30%

This works hand-in-hand with the base SpawnQuantity buffs. It means that the differences between Solo, Duo, and Trio (in terms of enemy amounts) are less exaggerated and more consistent.

- No changes
 to EXP, scrap, loot, enemy HP, or enemy damage! 
What this means is you will level up slightly quicker, but you'll have to earn it. Every enemy has exactly the same stats from base game so it won't be for free. Furthermore, while their damage values are unchanged, getting overrun can be likely if you don't stay on your toes. More enemies means more drops so your ammo sustain is unaffected. Bosses are largely unaffected.

50% increase to player's ammo maximum. Works perfectly with the Stockpile ring for people who never want to stop shooting!
