Nah, one thing they do not touch in remaking, as far as I have noticed, is not touching the general idea and fundamentals, they only change it more playable for 3rd person view and while at it they redesign a bit more to modern way with things that might make more sense rather than pure fantasy that doesn't make sense that much for Resident Evil like it was in original. For example the original Nemesis was mostly made to be scary by looks, so he had those organic tubes around which didn't really made sense regarding how he was made for a man-made bio weapon under strict regulations and building the organism as a weapon to be controlled rather than uncontrollable awol organism that was created outside of controlled environment and unintended as a bio-weapon. For example Tyrant(Mr.X) was under controlled environment made into bio-weapon, completely under control. At the end when its arm has been finally mutated to next level was because of the damage he sustained, and somehow got evolved. I didn't noticed whether or not the Umbrella device was still plugged inside his head or not, maybe without it his arm could've mutate like that when you had to fight him at the end on the elevator.
Original design was different, similar, but different, where this was more realistic, since only one side of his body got crushed which ended up mutated afterwards, the rest of the body still made sense to be as it was, but in original design he was fully naked with giant hand claw if not two, and had a weirder look a little bit...same with nemesis, they both looked like they didn't made sense, where in new one they do with the visuals, they look like they are man-made bio-weapons with intention rather than unintentional and uncontrollable. The whole main purpose of Umbrella's bio-weapons is to have them controllable so that the virus can be sold with guarantee, otherwise they terminate the subjects that are outside of controlled limits or actions.
Now those organic tubes are replaced with actual mechanical life support system or something like that for Nemesis, basically making him look like he was indeed a man-made bio-weapon. Hard to explain in order to make sense in insensible universe :D in a comparison to original this design makes more sense while maintaining similar appearance and not ruin the look that much, since we all like Nemesis as a villain of RE3.
Yea, those long teeth are weird, I would prefer to have bigger teeth, or at least see how it would look then, since these long teeth seem weird, and that distorted nose lol, I actually didn't noticed that. I don't mind the general look of him, I wont even be able to see that nose most of the time unless some cutscenes will have closeup of his face. That scar was iconic too I think from original, but I can see the new look working as well, I mean he doesn't have that scar with staples, but now he has it like melted or ... moved with just three staples holding together his forehead skin. Again, I don't mind the general look, but there are few minor things I would like to change as well. I wonder why his face looks so distorted though, wish there would be some video tapes or camera recordings of events, or described experiments on paper about what and why they did certain surgeries on him to explain the disfigured nose and face in general.
Wow that's awesome! I actually don't mine the new redesign, but your version really does look more like Nemesis. Would definitely love to have this as a mod for RE3R. Great job, Nayefk!
