Greetings,
i always disliked the fact, that RPD uses the Browning Hi-Power, it's a rather goofy looking pistol.
So, i decided to replace it with something more awesome.

For the purpose of the lore:
Before s#!t hit the fan, Raccoon Police Department issued the Beretta M9 to all its Officers as the new standard firearm and wouldn't you know it, local gunsmith Robert Kendo received the contract to outfit them with it.

- Mod details -
This mod replaces Claire's JMB Hp3 + laser sight with the M9 Samurai Edge model.
It includes an additional feature to remove said laser sight and instead gives you the default crosshair.

- known Bugs -
It is recommended, you activate this mod before pick up the gun from the patrol car.
If it's already in your equipment, be it in your inventory or the stash, the laser will still be active.
You won't see an extended magazine, when equipping the modification but you'll still get the ammo increase.
(Think of it as a magic bullet chamber, hidden inside the gun)
Icons in the menu remain for the JMB Hp3, both modded and unmodded.

- unintentional feature -
In the model viewer and during the cutscene with Leon getting "threadend" by Marvin, the weapon uses the texture of the Standard Samurai Edge.
During regular gameplay, however, the model will use Chris' variant.

Currently, i have no idea why. I used the model files for the Standard and deleted all conent for the pre-order guns but it's stuck.
As a personal workaround, i use a texture mod, that turns chris' model into Kenneth gun, duplicated the files for the Prototype and now it's consistent.
If anybody can create a texture mod to make it black, like a regular Beretta, that'd be swell.

- Installation -
I recommend using Fluffy Manager 5000 for installation but if you insist on doing it manualy:
unpack the .rar, and paste the folder "native" into "%your steam folder%\steamapps\common\RESIDENT EVIL 2  BIOHAZARD RE2"

- Distribution -
Since i don't have an account for Resident Evil Modding (don't intend to create one, just for one mod release), you're free to publize it over there.
Just don't forget to mention, where you've got it from; Cool?
