I got it working on my Steam Deck, when you download REframework, only extract the dinput8.dll into the game's MAIN folder, and add "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command%" without the quotations to the launch options. REframework should start on its own when you boot the game, if it doesn't then it's probably not working and you should try to find another version of REframework. If you were to accidentally close REframework, the hotkey to toggle it back on is Insert, you can change the key in the options.
If I swap characters I get an infinite loading screen any time there is a cutscene. Also, is there a key for forcing doors and levers? They do not work with some characters.
Is there any way to disable the crouching/sneaking for Sherry when playing as her via the trainer? She has weapons and such, and I understand it will be buggy and broken, but it's a pity she crouches every time you try and aim with her. It's kinda hilarious being Sherry and gunning Mr. X, lmao, but the crouching makes it a bit of a pain, hah. It looks like someone else flagged this before, but it might have been forgotten about.
I've been trying to see if there's a workaround to just unbind the crouch, but I haven't found anything yet...
I am desperate, i cant get it to work. In the REFramework ingame it says, the plugin for UltimateTrainer is loaded, but no matter how much i smash my "insert" key, it does not open. I tried installing by just placing the files in the game directory and when that did not work, i tried installing via fluffy, where the ultimate trainer shows up as installed but still nothing works. I also did not see a notification about it when the game started. I have the correct REFramework installed (for RTX version) Does anybody have an idea, what is going on? I really want to use this trainer, i am about to cry because i dont know what im doing wrong
In the REFramework menu, have you tried opening the "Script Generated UI" submenu? I didn't see anything until I expanded that, and then fiddled around with the Framework options until the other menus appeared on their own upon enabling their "Use Separate Window" options). How I got the Ultimate Trainer & Ultimate Mod Manager windows to appear for me (bold is just for tl;dr ):
I installed everything just as the installation instructions said for each one (do not install through any mod manager, just put the specific files in the main game folder, exactly like the instructions direct you. For the Framework, that's just the one .dll file, and for the Mod Manager + Trainer, that's the contents of their archive folders). Afterwards, I booted up the game thru Steam to check I did it all correctly, and a little popup text on-screen showed the REFramework had started. At that point, I cautiously looked around the main REFramework menu/settings once the overlay popped up, looking for the Mod Manager and Ultimate Trainer menus.
At the very bottom of the REFramework options, there should be a [ > ] menu option called "Script Generated UI" -- make sure that is "opened" / expanded, by which I mean the little [ > ] arrow looks like [ v ].
Once you hit the little [ > ] arrow option to open it, your other REFramework scripts/mod menus should appear at the bottom of the main REFramework menu. (You may have to widen your main REFramework window, or scroll to see it - I had to widen and increase my menus size to see it, but I have a small computer monitor screen). This menu ("Script Generated UI") seems to toggle the visibility of other mods/menus that depend on the REFramework.
If you want to sort or see menu things easier once you do see stuff pop up under "Script Generated UI", make sure to check off the "Use Separate Window" option box in that script's settings and then that menu should now pop out (mine minimize to the upper left of my screen, and pop out to standalone little window hubs when opened, but you can also move them around however you like).
Make sure that the main REFramework hub isn't minimized (meaning the arrow button looks like [ v ] instead of [ > ] -- the latter arrow indicates a menu is closed or minimized). If you minimize the main REFramework menu, the Trainer & Mod Manager menus disappear, even if they are in their own little windows -- just like minimizing the "Script Generated UI" menu, this seems to toggle visibility of everything other than the main REFramework.
I've only myself just installed & gotten the Framework running today, and I haven't been brave/confident enough to venture into a game save with anything changed just yet, BUT poking around the visible REFramework menu options while still at the game's main menu has definitely helped me get a bit more comfortable seeing what's what and what's where.
See if what I did above works for you, and if it does, maybe just sit at the game menu for a bit and let curiosity rule for a while, while you check things out? Being (slowly) cautiously nosy + curious seems to be working for me so far, so hopefully it'll work for you too! ^-^)d
For PC Game Pass users I can confirm this works! Havent had any issues after 8 hours of play.
As far as install is concerned I installed the RT version of the trainer in C:/XboxGames/Resident Evil 2/Content The only thing about my install that was weird was that I had to install the plug-ins separately.
First, I installed the newest nightly REFramework (RE2.zip) from github but the reframework folder was missing the trainer in the plug-ins folder. So I had to install the plugin from the nexus REFramework download. I also deleted the openvr.dll as instructed from the github release. I hope this helps fellow PC Game Pass players that haven't gotten this amazing Trainer to work yet.

Simply extract the downloaded zip(trainer) to you game direktory.
After make sure you there is folder withn re2s direktory named "reframework " and inside that another folder named "plugin".
Theres a good guide how to setup fluffy mod manager on steam deck. U can install the trainer via fluffy as well
