Changelogs
As of June 16th, this mod only works with the DX11, Non-RT Version of the game.

Greetings,

don't know about you, but i think Leon's Matilda has always been a poor choice.
It's hideous, impractical and a pretty rare sight amongst service arms or PDWs.

I always used Glock over Matilda to make his playthrough bearable or just switched to one of the Samurai Edge's.

... but no more.

After i learned, how to export, edit and import models from the Game to Blender and back, i was finaly able to create some modifications of my own and i'd like to gradualy share of what i have with the community.
Starting with this:

The Glock 18, ported from Resident Evil 3 to Resident Evil 2 as a replacement of the Matilda.
Keep in mind, it's not a simple 1:1 port; i made a few adjustments for my personal preferences.
The barrel got extended by maybe a quarter of an inch as well as the ejection port, added a 2nd fireswitch to the opposite side and set the firemode to single (by default, there's only one on the left, "set" on burst) and adjusted the lower receiver for a slightly more box-ish appearance.
Very minor details, but noticable to keen eyes.

It comes with the following features:
- fully animated model
- appears both ingame, inventory inspectation and cutscenes
- customized look for the compensator and extended magazine

What's missing:
- no model for the buttstock; not skilled enough to make something fitting. Sorry.
- upgrade parts will still look like they belong to Matilda, when not attached to the gun
- no custom icons for the inventory

known issues:

- during cutscenes, when the gun is holstered, textures may look displaced

side note
I'm aware, that the screenshot says Glock 19.
For those, that wanna' know, i started the mod with Jills Glock 19 but later switched to Model 18 (Burst variant, available in the Hospital) for the benefit of the compensator.
Was still stuck on the number 19 in my head, when creating the promos.

Update 08/20/20
Added a version with no visual upgrades.
No matter, what custom part you attach, it will remain in it's default state. Perfect for all us, who want a consistant appearance between gameplay and cutscenes.
