ABOUT:
This mod by Kayael replaces the low-resolution backgrounds (such as the RPD area) with proper 480p backgrounds.
I am not the author of the mod but Kayael has given me permission to release the latest version of his mod to fix PC backgrounds.
INSTALLATION:
- Extract rerofs.exe and rerofs.bat into the game directory. This is a program to extract the Rofs?.dat.
- Run the batch file rerofs.bat. The process takes a moment.
- Change the corresponding lines under [General] in Bio.ini to the following:
Rofs1=.\DATA\DOOR
Rofs2=.\DATA_AG\ETC2
Rofs3=.\DATA\ETC
Rofs4=.\DATA_X\ETC2
Rofs5=.\DATA\PLD
Rofs6=.\DATA_A\PLD
Rofs7=.\DATA\SOUND
Rofs8=.\DATA_A\BSS
Rofs9=.\ROOM\EMD
Rofs10=.\ROOM\EMD08
Rofs11=.\ROOM\RBJ
Rofs12=.\DATA_AJ\RDT
Rofs13=.\DATA_X\RDT
Rofs14=.\DATA_A\VOICE
Rofs15=.\DATA_A\SOUND
- Edit the path to Rofs4 and Rofs13. Change X to a letter, depending on which version you are playing:
S = Spanish version
E = English version
J = Japanese version
G = German version
For example, for the Japanese and SourceNext versions:
Rofs4=.\DATA_J\ETC2
Rofs13=.\DATA_J\RDT
- Extract all folders from the ZIP archive into the game directory and overwrite existing files.
