This is a small REFramework mod that makes walking and crouch-walking in RE4R feel more snappy, with the aim of making the controls feel more in line with the original RE4. This has been a common complaint about the game since release, with some users calling the walking "sluggish". Much of the slow startup of the walk and turn animation is skipped and as a result the animation begins with you nearly at full speed.

In addition, the speed at which you switch weapons can be increased. The amount of frames skipped for both animations is configurable. An option is also available to let you re-aim your weapon faster after firing it and putting it down.

The mod is also able to control how fast you turn while running. You can configure it to spin around near instantly in-place, or make it slower, with or without pivoting when you completely reverse direction (that's another option)
An option to run into walls without having to stop is available as well.


Installation


1. Download REFramework and put its 'dinput8.dll' file into your game folder
2. Extract the mod RAR file and place its 'reframework' folder into your game directory, overwriting as needed

2. Download and install Fluffy Mod Manager
3. Download the mod RAR file and place it in your Fluffy Mod Manager "Mods\RE4R\" folder
4. Install the mod with Fluffy Mod Manager


Usage


Open the REFramework menu in-game by pressing the 'Insert' key (default)
Under the 'Script Generated UI' section, there will be a section for "Snappy Controls". Here you will find the mod options, such as enabling/disabling snappy movement, enabling/disabling snappy weapons switch, and the frameskip for both options.
