I thought the game was fun but the gunplay was lacking. It feels great, but sounds like crap! Weapon are soft, weak, and other game sounds we lackluster, so I made this mod using epic sounds from others games like Team Fortress 2, F.E.A.R., Counter Strike and Planetside 2.

All guns get new sounds, though some slow-motion sounds are shared between weapons, so I did my best to find a good fit for a seamless experience. I think it's in a good place for this official release, though I'm still looking at replacing more sounds like explosions and melee - but those have been challenging for far.
NOTE: This mod is compatible with the current (final) version of the game, with or without the Breakout DLC, both for singleplayer and coop.
INSTALLING THE MOD:
Ideally make backups of the original file!
Replace ingame_audio in Game installation folder > RICO_data > StreamingAssets
Add customsounds.resource to Game installation folder > RICO_data
Enjoy!
UPDATING THE MOD:
If you want to use a more recent mod version, simply overwrite both files with the new ones
UNINSTALLING THE MOD:
Replace ingame_audio with your original backup
If you did not make a backup, you can simply delete the file and verify integrity in Steam; this will reload the missing file
You may ignore the mod's customsounds.resource file
