Should you wish to make your own edit, it's as simple as finding the hex ID of the ore you wish to change and swapping one of the number pairs after it with your desired item's hex ID.
Installation:
- Download the .7z file.
- Extract its contents to the Bundle folder of your RF4S installation.
- The game will use it automatically.
Notes:
- You should be able to determine whether it's in effect by going after Iron nodes specifically for a bit and seeing if the Glitta Augite drops.
- My PC save is the first I have on PC so is relatively early on; I haven't made it further in to test the later nodes. If something's wonky with them, compare the original MapOre_Rate.bin file from your .bundle file to my modified MapOre_Rate.bin and adjust accordingly with HxD or a similar hex editor.
Acknowledgments:
- All my item hex ID information comes from the Datamining Compendium by Omnigamer, an incredibly useful resource. Please check it out!
- u/MystifiedMango on the Rune Factory subreddit for informing me that this was even possible and patiently helping me with the questions I had while trying to figure out the file structure as a beginner to hex editing. Thank you very much! :)
- A friend on Discord who also fielded my questions very patiently and helped me with the basic process at an ungodly hour of the night.
