"The Hoardkeeper watches over all rewards. With their favor, every chest brims and every foe falls with fuller pockets."
Tired of stingy drops and inconsistent loot?
The Loot Multiplier mod reworks how rewards are calculated across the boardβfrom enemy drops to chests and beyondβmaking sure every roll feels worthwhile without breaking the spirit of the game. π MULTIPLAYER NOTICE:
Mods in Dragonwilds are host-authoritative, meaning:
- If the host has modded files or is running LUA mods, players who connect to their world will benefit from those mods.
- If the host is unmodded, then your client-side mods will not function properly and may not apply at all.
- Do not grief other players by trying to exploit mod behavior in unmodded games β that makes you a jerk, and nobody likes a jerk. Play nice.
Loot in Dragonwilds uses a Roll Table system, kind of like a magical fishbowl full of goodies. Here's what we change:
- Probability β 100%:
Every item on the table now has an equal chance of being picked. This doesnβt guarantee every item will drop, but it ensures no item is unfairly weighted out. Think of Probability like a weight on each itemβwe just balanced the scale. - Iteration Count Multiplied:
This controls how many times the game pulls from the loot table. If it used to roll 2 to 4 times, the x2 version now rolls 4 to 8 times. More rolls = more chances at cool stuff. - Result Quantity Multiplied:
After all rolls are done, the final rewards are multiplied again. So, if you got 2 of something before, now you might get 4, 10, or even more, depending on the version used.
- Loot Multiplier x2 β A modest boost to spice up drops without going overboard.
- Loot Multiplier x5 β For high-luck adventurers looking to live large.
- Loot Multiplier x10 β For absolute chaos goblins. You know who you are.
This affects any loot that uses roll tables: enemies, chests, etc.
Does not guarantee specific itemsβjust improves quantity and roll fairness. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
