📦 The Chestwarden (Chest Respawn Timer Overhaul)

Tired of waiting an eternity for your favorite chests to refill? Whether you're a treasure hunter, a loot goblin, or just someone who really hates empty containers, The Chestwarden has you covered.

This mod adjusts the global chest respawn timer, reducing the in-game time it takes for any previously looted chest to refill. From a small nudge to instant gratification, five progressively faster variants are available—so you can choose just how generous the Chestwarden is feeling today.

🌐 MULTIPLAYER NOTICE:
Mods in Dragonwilds are host-authoritative, meaning:
  • If the host has modded files or is running LUA mods, players who connect to their world will benefit from those mods.
  • If the host is unmodded, then your client-side mods will not function properly and may not apply at all.
  • Do not grief other players by trying to exploit mod behavior in unmodded games — that makes you a jerk, and nobody likes a jerk. Play nice.

⚙️ Five Modular Versions Available
(Only install one at a time. Chestwarden gets cranky otherwise.)

🧭 Note: Chests still require the player to be a certain distance away before they can reset—even with the “instant respawn” version installed. Staying nearby will pause the respawn timer. This is a game engine behavior, not a mod limitation.


🟧 The Chestwarden’s Blessing (80% Time Remaining – 4 Days to reset chests)

A small time reduction that still respects the pace of a traditional world.
🟩 The Chestwarden’s Favor (60% Time Remaining – 3 Days to reset chests)
"Patience rewarded, but not indulged."
Still balanced, but faster. Just enough to feel it.
🟨 The Chestwarden’s Grace (40% Time Remaining – 2 Days to reset chests)
"With grace, riches flow swifter to those in need."
Noticeably faster. For those who’d rather loot than linger.
🟦 The Chestwarden’s Respite (20% Time Remaining – 1 Day to reset chests)
"Why wait for wealth? Take your ease, and return sooner."
Almost rapid-fire. Perfect for adventurers on the grind.
🟪 The Chestwarden’s Triumph (0% Time Remaining – Instant Respawn)
"Time holds no sway when the Chestwarden triumphs."

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the either the Main file or the Optional file.
2. Extract the downloaded zip into the main game directory. (\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\RSDragonwilds)
   - If done correctly, you should now have a ~mods folder, within the \Paks folder, like so:
