An ultra-wide solution for Sea of Stars

Note
First load, and subsequent game updates will take a little longer while it does what it does.
Features
Tested against Steam version @ 3440x1440
- Resolution is forced to main display resolution. In-game options are disabled as it messes with the fix.
- UI remains at 16:9 and centered.
- Removes the cropping on the left and right sides of the screen.
- Fix is disabled for anything fishing-related.
- Transitions corrected.
- Top/bottom cutscene bars removed.
- Intros are "skipped".
- Background ocean is fixed where possible.
UI Pixel Width
- The default width should be fine, but if you get garbled text, see below.
- Ensure you've enabled "Use Custom Width"
- Left Square Bracket = Make pixel width narrower/smaller
- Right Square Bracket = Make pixel width expand/larger
- Backslash\Pipe = Reset
- You can hold down the Left Shift key to enable greater steps.
- Keybinds can be changed via F5.
- You can adjust via F5 but not recommended. You will need to toggle the menu to see your changes.
Misaligned Text
Bottom image is the intended look
Notes
- Do not use the ConfigManager (F5) while there is something requiring input visible on the screen - the game may stop responding to input.
- The hands/icons in combat may appear out of line sometimes. Best it's going to get for now.
Screenshots
Configuration
- Press F5 in-game to access the configuration menu.
Installation
- Grab the latest release from the Files tab. ❗The executable is a self-extracting 7z archive.
- Run the executable and choose the root game directory. (e.g. steamapps\common\Sea of Stars for Steam on Windows).
Steam Deck/Linux/MacOS Additional Instructions
You do not need to do this if you are using Windows!
- Open up the game properties in Steam and add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command% to the launch options.
Changes
0.3.1
- Re-re-write
- All(?) transitions fixed, no more jankiness
- UI will be centered by default, removed option to move as it's no longer required
- Added option to adjust pixel width of UI - only use in case of garbled text
0.3.0
- Re-write, changed to BepInEx
- Remove/rename `version.dll` to stop MelonLoader injecting if you're using an old version.
- Functionality *should* be the same. Report otherwise.
0.2.0
- Transition/cutscene dialogue should be restored
- Changed keys for the UI movement
0.1.9 - Important; the filename has changed. Ensure you are deleting `SeaOfStars.dll` within the `Mods` folder.
- Further adjustments to the UI positions. If using a custom position, please press the keypad star on your keyboard to reset. Please report here (#8) if the auto-calculated position is too far left/too far right (and include a screenshot),
- Re-enabled the Pixel Perfect option. It doesn't appear to do anything on my setup, but it may help some people.
- Hopefully fixed the pixels being out of line on some setups. I don't encounter it on mine, so it's hard to troubleshoot.
- Fixed the Wizard dome area being 16:9.
- Added protections to prevent the animated cutscenes from scaling incorrectly.
0.1.8
- Fixed shadows around characters/objects not being pixelated. If you don't care about this, you can stay on 0.1.7.
- The above change messes with UI, so the method to calculate the centre has changed. The math checks out against 3440x1440, but I need reports from people with other resolutions. Please comment here: https://github.com/p1xel8ted/UltrawideFixes/issues/3
- Added ability to press + - * on the keypad to adjust positioning. Hold down shift for greater movement increments.
0.1.7
- More robust fishing fix.
0.1.6
- Fishing bug fix. Bit of a "hacky" fix.
