Songs of the Sea Vixen Mod
🎶 "Oh, I'll tell you a tale of the Pirate Queen..." 🎶
This mod adds fun, immersive musical atmosphere to Sid Meier's Pirates.
Specifically, it adds 17 sea shanties, pirate ballads, and similar-themed songs - all sung by women - to your game.
Songs will be added to the mix to randomly play when you leave port, casting off from any town, settlement, village, pirate haven, or mission.
**To install, extract the .wav files to your /custom folder.**
The list of songs is as follows. Modern shanties marked with an asterisk(*), traditional shanties with two (**):

Note: (Optional) If you listen to the .wav files outside of the game, start to finish, then tracks #2-17 tell a semi-chronological story:
Setting off for the first time, sailing with your crew, dancing with the governor's daughter, intimidating the locals, dueling/raiding, journey's end.
This mod is partly inspired by JPKENNEY's excellent Sea Shanties Mod (which adds shanties from Assassin's Creed IV instead).
I figured, for players who want to plunder the seven seas as pirate women via theincrediblenick's super impressive mod, The Sea Vixen - Play as a Lady Pirate, it would be a fun challenge to compile a similar music pack with women singing. That way, players can imagine/RP that their own player-character is taking lead on the solos, perhaps (with mods below) doing call-and-response with a crew of all- or mostly women.
A list of optional, recommended mods to use with Songs of the Sea Vixen, for the full "pirate queen" experience - please endorse them!:

"If you're using the Famous Lady Pirates mod, delete the Blackbeard/L'Ollonnais folders in the Cigarette Cards pack, and paste these files into your Lady Pirates mod folder instead: add-on (add-on requires Famous Lady Pirates mod)"
