This is my reshade preset to bring the graphics closer to the originals. This is for those of you who enjoyed the thick grain in Silent Hill 2,3,4, Origins and Shattered Memories. I have also toned down the saturation and added some slight green hues to fit the visuals of the original on the PS2. Sure, the game comes with a 90's filter but I'm not a fan of the thick vignette and the noise filter it's using. So this reshade might interest some of you. There are three versions. The default one (from which the screenshots are based on), a version with less grain and a version with more grain than the default.
The install process is simple. Download the mod and put the OGSH2Reshade.ini file somewhere you will remember. Then, download reshade here: https://reshade.me/
Install Reshade and follow these steps:
1. Select SHProto-Win64-Shipping
2. Choose the DirectX Version
3. Select my mod by clicking on browse (the .ini file).
When launching the game, the reshade menu will appear. Choose to skip the tutorial. Then, if the reshade is not enabled by default, click on the drop down, click on the preset then confirm by clicking on select.
