Well it has finally been one whole year since the release of Sofia and what a year it has been. Sofia has achieved a lot in that time, becoming the most endorsed follower with 33,000 endorsements putting her well into the top 100 mods and receiving the honour of being Gamespot's follower of the year 2014. Does any of that really matter? Not really as the mod was made for myself, not to become popular or please others although obviously it feels great knowing that so many other people love her too. Of course if you asked Sofia though she will tell you it's no great surprise since she is obviously superior and everyone loves her... except for those people who don't, who are clearly just jealous of her of course :D
In terms of updates, expect more soon. She will have much more dialogue including the ability for her to ask you questions that you can answer and quest dialogue for the daedric quests and more NPC comments and other stuff. There will also eventually be custom quests for Sofia but be patient as they take time to make and also no doubt more features.
So how do I plan to celebrate Sofia's one year anniversary... hmm I would like to say by releasing some more content right this second but unfortunately I couldn't get anything ready in time. So instead I'm going to say by holding a Q & A. So this is your chance to ask me, Christine or Sofia anything. Yes I did say you can ask Sofia questions just as long as you make it clear so I can uh... get her answer, yeah... because she totally exists. So who am I? I am John Jarvis, creator, writer and basically the guy who does all the technical stuff for Sofia. Christine Slagman (finalCrystine) is the voice of Sofia primarily whilst also providing additional writing for things such as bard songs, coming up with key ideas and testing the mod. So for example:
How long have you worked on Sofia?
A: Officially since September 2013 which is when things started up properly although there was a planning stage and writing a few lines a little while before then.
Sofia, what is your favourite food?
A: Does mead count? Ok fine, sweetrolls I guess although solid food doesn't really agree with me once I start drinking.
So yeah ask whatever you want no matter how silly in the comments below. The questions don't necessarily have to be mod related by the way.

Anyway when I took you with me, I expected you would bring a bit more trouble... At least you're not the one that started the mess at this tavern back in Riften...
Oh so now I'm not bad enough for you? People criticise me for being bad and now it seems they can't make their minds up. Ah whatever, pour me another drink. Booze is the only true friend I need.
An orc? Lucky for you, I'm a Breton and far more pleasing to the eyes...
As for the dancing, I wish I could have a painting, was... hilarious... You must have some kind of special powers when drunk... Sadly acrobatics are not recognized much in skyrim... Like pauldrons... In my family home, there was an old plate mail that my ancestor was using... She had a quest too... Something a bout laying a king down to rest and finding a letter for a queen... Well you could really mix and match armor pieces, you could even wear clothes under and above your armor... I think I would have love to play dress up with you... And seeing the look on your face after that...
Will you ever collaborate with other mod authors and follower mods? For example I love using Inigo and Vilja because their two completely different mods and characters but they'll speak and react to each other. I know Sofia wants dragonborn all to herself but it's always nice to share
Edit: Scrolling through the comments it looks like my question was already answered, sorry about that.
Anyway Sofia is one of my favorite and first custom voiced followers and I can't wait to see where she goes from here
Q : when the new update come out ?
Q (optional for Question number 1 ) : if sofia live in my house when i married her can she live on my hearthfire house
other than that keep up the GOOD work !!!!
Whoops - that was a Sofia-ism. What I mean, is is there any plan for a Requiem-tweaked version?
p.s. would love for some more songs / ditties in the random background segments.
Maybe Christine will do more, I don't know.
I'm really looking forward to the questions Sofia can ask the player. There aren't really enough dialogue choices in the rest of the game to define your character by - this will be a good feature for immersion.
Also, I have a question for Sofia:
Why do you always take your clothes off when we're travelling? I mean... the view is nice, sure, but since we get attacked by stray wolves and bandits every ten steps, don't you think you should protect yourself a bit more?
(It's a Skyrim bug, I know, but I had to ask.
Any plans on adding in some voice interaction with vanilla and custom followers like Vilja does? It would be a blast having Sofia and Arissa going back and forth with some banter or Lydia and Sofia harassing each other over something. Assuming you can find some decent vanilla dialog to work with for the Vanilla followers.
In the next update Sofia will comment if another follower is following although the comments won't be specific and will only work on non-custom voiced followers. As I have said before, Arissa is a very strong possibility as I have already discussed it with the authors. Any other followers though I would need to discuss further.
*Clears throat* Mi mi mi mi . . .
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you . . .
*Pause*
Alright where in Oblivion did that cask of Black Briar Reserve come from? Don't give me that look! If you think for one moment that I didn't hear that brawl in the Drunken Huntsman last night . . .
What's your opinion on Serana? I had both you and Serana with me to stop the Tyranny of the Sun prophecy and defeat Harkon and throughout the entire time, you never said one thing about Serana, let alone to her. I'm just curious about your opinion.
I do hope the next update will have you providing humorous commentary on the Dawnguard quests.
Probably not the next update but maybe in future. The next update focuses on the daedric quests.
