About this image

Cross-eye technique, stereoscopic image.

If you don't know how to view stereoscopic images visit this LINK and read the post on my blog. Hope you like it! ;)

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN STEREOSCOPIC IMAGES:
Stereoscopic illusion is achieved when you draw/take photo/take screenshot of some object minding the relative position of your eyes and the angle with which we observe the world. In short and in Skyrim context, you must take a single snapshot from the "right eye" and then move just an inch or two of virtual space, return the cursor aprox back to the focus position of the right eye and take a snapshot for the "left eye". That is the hard part, cos you will have to practice to achieve the slight difference between the two snapshots. Also, be sure to try it when you have atleast 3 depth fields around your character - an object in the foreground, your character in the middle, and a background. The more levels, the greater illusion will be.

HELPFUL CONSOLE COMMANDS:
tm - disables HUD
tfc - (you must be in 3rd person) free cam
tfc 1 - (you must be in 3rd person) free cam + time freeze
tai - select and freeze enemy or NPC
sucsm 10 - speed for free cam - (10 is default, use from 1-3 for fine tune)

FINAL STEPS: After you've took two screenshots:
- open your image editor software (photoshop, gimp, whatever)
- create the canvas size wide enough to be able to hold both screenshots horizontally
- place the RIGHT eye screenshot on the LEFT end of the canvas
- place the LEFT eye screenshot on the RIGHT end of the canvas
- (optionally - add two dots above the middle of each screenshot it helps beginners to focus - example)
- now decrease the image size cos the smaller the image is, the easier it will be to view (not too small)

AND YOU'RE DONE! Hope you enjoy it! Cheers!

Oh, one more thing for those having trouble with the cross-eye technique:

For FireFox users, hold CTRL and scroll out to make the image smaller. It will be much easier in the begging to view stereoscopic image. Give it a try.

@Exammike: hehe maybe it's time for me to tell you that i actually *can* do this even though it left me with crooked eyes <.>
But really, it's damned hard to focus when one eye is so much more dominant than the other i end up seeing the image only partially..

    @Shadowjin:
This is not my port, and Psyke23 who ported the mod into Skyrim has officially been allowed by the CD Projekt to do so. I'm just a user who downloaded the armor, and have nothing to do with ports and imports of it. Alas, if it is illegal after all, I will remove the image.

@Urwy / Troy1010: Work harder damn it! It is worth the effort!

@Pannel: Thank you and yes. I will edit the post and describe the whole procedure how to do it. Stay tuned.

@Irken: Yep, when I 1st succeeded to view a stereo image I was completely blown away. That is the closest illusion to real life perception that you can observe with your own eyes, and it really does change everything. After that, "regular photos" are simply boring for me.

Can I upload pictures of ported content to the Image Share or mod images?
Please do not upload pictures that deliberately show-case ported content to the Image Share or in mod images. In the past we've been quite strict about this rule as uploading pictures of ported content often results in lots of requests from users for links to where you got the ported content but we're trying to tone this down now to warnings and strikes so that you can be made aware of the issue.
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Just saying.
Most of images with ported content have been removed lately.
