"For days we were walkin'...
Snow, dust, gravel. The rain, the wind & the burning Sun.
& then she stopped... we all did.
She turned around & stood at the end of the cliff...She was gazing at the horizon. There was, only silence... & the howl of the wind.
But I swear... I, I heard her. I heard her sing with a voice from another world. Soft as a thought, but felt like fire.
A curse?...or a prayer? or maybe a far away homeland song. Can't say...
Couldn't sleep that night. She was one of us. But none was like her..."
