fighting.....fighting....always fighting. Unfortunately for those who attack her, Alanna had studied saber form VII, called Vaapad, which was created by the mythical Master Windu. It suited Alanna's personality well as it allows the practitioner to skirt very close to the dark side but not giving in to it. She always enjoys the fight and revels in victory. Using Vaapad, she could do that with only minimal disapproval of her masters.
While in Mzulft, Alanna was overjoyed to find remnants of a more advanced civilization. She was finally able to retire her rudimentary saber she had created with the archaic materials she had found here. It used her old training focusing crystal which was very weak. Alanna constructed a tribute hilt to Master Windu's saber. A huge soul gem, as they were called on this world, provided an intensely focused beam and the violet color desired to emulate Master Windu's saber as well. Armed with her new weapon and using Vaapad, she tore through the strange and almost feral occupants with ease.

Before further questions: I'm a fan not a maniac, so asking questions will lead to my failure. I only watched the movies and read a few books. Corran "Keiran Halcyon" Horn rules!
It didn't exist before Windu. The Sith that Alanna encountered before being marooned here favored styles based off variations of Count Dooku and Darth Sidious. Neither was as effective as she survived and they didn't.
