About this image
A nice, boring portrait of my main PC, Morgana. (Original, right? Ahaha....) Also, not anywhere near a hedge. ;D
I'm posting this as a preview of my very first, nearly finished (really!) custom armor... and to figure out the difference between supporter and non-supporter images...
Critiques are welcome - I have a lot to learn about 3D modeling.

I see where you're coming from with the belt - I was actually thinking of resizing it or perhaps adding more.... or maybe taking it away and doing something a little more subtle with textures. As for the sleeve.... not changing. X) The asymmetrical look was a priority from the start, and it actually has something to do with this specific character. I know that might seem silly from a publicly released mod standpoint - but this armor was initially created for a very specific character for my personal use. So it will have certain quirks like that....
I'm probably going to do a few recolors for the fun of it. So there'll be a little to choose from. But it's meant to blend-in to Skyrim as an outfit with common materials. So.... anti-flashy. Very anti-flashy.
I'm curious what you'll do with the belt and I'm glad you'll offer plenty of colors to choose from, more choices are always appreciated! I only object to the asymmetry since it usually bothers me a little bit. I'm not sure why, but that's my own odd fault.
Keep up the good work, I'll be there to download and endorse when you release it.
Overall I want the look of an outfit that's "home-made" by a skilled artisan, but has seen a lot of wear and use. Morgana is much more interested in clothing that's broken-in and reliable than pretty. ....and she can't usually afford to buy new things, anyway. XD
Anywho, thanks for the encouragement! I hope to be releasing this soon, after I am done tweaking.
I agree with you.
Soon, I hope. But I keep finding things to tweak. Hard to know when to stop. XD
Modeling-wise, you have a character with a pretty-face, good textures and nice body curvature. If you were looking for more traditional modeling poses, I advise starting with Pinup Poser for more static and varied modeling stances to use in screenshots. And if you are like me and prefer the environment of Skyrim as your stage floor. Then find locations to accent your character with the preferred lighting (there's no "right" taste of aesthetic in this area, it's up to you; also don't forget you can use off-hand spells to accentuate forward-facing lighting). Be creative, be yourself and most importantly, play the game and have fun! :3
The pauldron idea is intriguing. I wouldn't take the one directly from Dawnguard - as this armor is created entirely from scratch - but I have been brainstorming about assorted doo-dads to attach to it for a bit of extra detail....
Haha, sometimes I forget I'm supposed to play Skyrim. But I suppose modding is just another part of the game! I'll have a look at that Poser mod. I got some nice shots with XP32's magic casting mod, but sadly they featured an earlier version of my armor that had a lot of awkward, low-poly pointy bits. Bummer....
